Still can't give you proper rep. I really hope you'all get this to pass. If the other folks are putting half as much effort as yourself should be a walk in the park :respect:

I could really use a "walk in the park" as well ;)

Thanks for the kind words. They mean a lot! :tiphat:

Just for the sake of giving this thread a bump....

Once you have repped someone recently, you cannot rep that same person again (using the scales to the left) until a certain amount of time has passed or you have repped a certain number of other people. However, you can find their posts helpful (up to about 8-10 votes a day) if you wish to give them some recognition (and rep) but the scales are disabled.

You can rep someone with the scales and then also find that post helpful, giving a person a "double rep" on a particularly inspired post. You have to use the scales BEFORE you find it helpful or the system will tell you it can't be done. (and of course, this won't work if you've recently used the scales to rep this person.)

Issues with repping someone have been mentioned several times, so I thought this little tutorial would be helpful for those who wish to understand the rep system better.

(And it bumps the thread.)

Are you saying that is associated with the youtube links I posted or referred to? Or, is it associated with all youtube videos?

IC MAg has that warning when you post a youtube video.

Click "I agree" and you'll see the video, which is an 18 minute video apparently made by one of the founders of the Missouri initiative. At least, that's what it looks like after viewing the last 6-8 minutes.

If someone posts a youtube video on ICmag, that warning shows up to cover ICMag's ass.

We need to get at least 150,000 legitimate, legal voter signatures for the initiative to go on the ballot. That's 150,000 'legal, registered voter' signatures.

are there even 150k people in missouri ??

IF You Incur Any Expenses It Can Be Used As A "Donation In-Kind"

This was added to the website just the other day. It's a way of donating to SMCR without actually handing over cash.

If you are gathering signatures for the petition and incur some costs in the process you just let SMCR know through their webpage http://show-mecannabis.com/donate/donations-in-kind/ what it was and how much and they apply it as a donation.

This from their website...

Donations In-Kind

Hello supporters!

We know that you don’t always have extra cash to give, but if you would like to help the campaign by donating non-monetary items, we would love it!

However, we need to record and report that as part of our campaign finance law requirements.

If you have spent any your own personal money on signs, t-shirts, or printed materials, it is VERY IMPORTANT that you let us know by filling out the information below. Plus, you want us to know that you have been donating to us, right?!

Has Anyone Taken Advantage Of The "Donation In-Kind"? I Just Did.

Has Anyone Taken Advantage Of The "Donation In-Kind"? I Just Did.

I purchased some highlighting markers and removable stickers to color-code the county map and the petitions by district and county.

I could let that money spent (it wasn't much, just $9) just disappear into the ether as if it never happened, or let this organization take advantage of it in the form of a tax credit (which I am presuming that's what they will do with it).

You can too.

As they say, every little bit helps!

SMCR Is Opening Intern Opportunities. Want To Help Out?

This is a great opportunity for those of you still in school to get some practical experience that is eligible for college credits.

This from their website...

Intern for SMCR

Would you like to work on a political campaign that could change the state of Missouri for the better?

Show-Me Cannabis Regulation is now seeking interns to help with its campaign to end marijuana prohibition in Missouri, regulate adult use like alcohol, and allow Missouri farmers to grow industrial hemp. Interns would gain experience in the basics of political campaigning: general outreach to the public, working with other volunteers, and managing information.

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

• Gathering at least 75 signatures a week.

• Responding to emails in a timely fashion.

• Working with information in Word, Excel, and PDF formats.

Candidates should submit a resume and letter of interest to John Payne at [email protected] by Friday, February 24th. Applications will begin being processed immediately.
