Hi guys thought I would post this here as it seems more at home than in Landraces where it is at the moment.
I am starting week 13 of flower, she is on basic rations ph'd water at 5.9 and Rhizotonic and Cannazyme.I started this ration 5 days ago after being on H&G coco nutes and Ozi Tonic Monsta bud an organic soup of all things good. The first 3 pics are end week 12 the other 2 pics are start of week 11. I hope you like them Tangwena.

Start of week 13

Start of week 13

sorry the last post was week 12 start this is the end of week 12 start of 13 from the time sex was shown.
The resin smell that was so strong has now abated and though still there is joined by an astringent pine smell and a sweet smell a bit like honey.
Smoke test of week 12 dried over 7 days on a par with the commercial malawi that tourists buy in Blantyre. Can only get better from here another 7 days and I may harvest half and let the rest go another week or so.
Altogether now very happy with the smoke test and looking forward to the taste after curing for 4 months or so.

Excellent work Tangwena

I'm very impressed with your talent to tame the malawi indoors and get such great yield.
I read you malawi thread in the landrace room, i'm curious to know your opinion of your homegrown malawi compared with the different malawi that you experienced in Africa.

Thanks for sharing, it's a pleasure to see their development.

Hi Dubi love your work man. I brought over to Aussie dozens of seeds from the best cobs I smoked in my last year in Malawi. I grew them for 10 years in the bush in Australia (I will try growing clones of this one soon, in the bush fully organic).
But I never got a plant to even 10% of the power of the original malawi, strong yes, but not the scary rush of the really good cobs.
I will be interested to see how this one comes up after 4 months cure.
I intend going back for a fishing safari in 18 months time, and hopefully find my old contacts and look again for what we nicknamed chapter 5.
In the mean time I will be trying your Zamaldelica next grow indoors plus some clones in the bush. But thats allways a lottery what with animals and thieves.
But mate top marks for beautiful malawi plant
Regards Tangwena

start of week 14

Hi guys 13 weeks gone and I decided by her looks to take a sample bud to cure as a reference, I cant wait any longer than another 7 days as I want to revegge and clone her for my winter outdoor grow.
She is smelling very heavily of oil/resin and very hard to handle as she is so sticky.
We are having a heat wave with temps in the 37c range, its good for stressing her, I only water when the shade leaves start wilting.
I know the last 2 to 3 months of flower in Malawi there is no rain and its warm 32 to 35c.
I hope by reproducing this climate I may get the resin I am after.

smoke test 13.5 weeks

smoke test 13.5 weeks

Just tested a 4 day quick dried bud 90% cloudy trichs. What a difference a week makes. Real Malawi kick arse high, I will go for 10% amber to be how I like it.
I take my hat off to Dubi and friends.
The best Malawi I have had since leaving Malawi. I thought I would never see it again. I get why Zandar reps his plants so highly. I dont blame him.
If this was in Malawi it would be called above average and be sort after for sure.
I now want to grow out my clones in the bush, it should make them heaps sweeter.
Again big thanks to Ace your legends.

Harvest 14.5 weeks

Harvest 14.5 weeks

Hi guys just a few stats
Weight green stalks and all 2.7kilos, I will post final weight after cleaning and drying, also smoke report after curing.
Final product is very dense, sticky and smelling sweet and resiny is the best I can describe it.
Altogether very pleased with the yield and am currently revegging her second time round she should be a ripper with a really high yield for sure.
I just hope she is as strong as she looks once she has been cured.
See you on the other side.

Hi Tangwena,

Thanks for your kind words. Im glad you are finding the early smoke tests favourable. :)

As we explained in the golden tiger threads, malawi and hybrids need a good curing and proper maturation to really develop the deep long lasting psychedelic effect so i'm sure you will enjoy the improvements in the next months of curing. Time to enjoy after the long ride! ;)

Cheers Dubi I will cure half normaly and half in traditional cobs as I always do, it really comes out nice and solid like a chorizo when cured properly and heaps stronger as its concentrated.
I also have some golden tiger and zamaldelica to try, life is so cool at the moment. Thanks again for preserving such good genetics.

final weight

final weight

Well final weight of dried buds was 450grams i was surprised how much was lost in moisture content as I have never bothered to weigh the green buds before, but still more than happy with the result now just be patient for 4 months curing.

Saw that you plan on re-vegging to take clones? Have you had luck doing this in the past? I tried once before with no luck, but need to try again soon.

Looks like you are in for a treat once cured :tiphat:
