I have two plants in veg currently. One "mother" plant. That's it. The two in veg. are almost harvested. I'm just gonna quit for a while. I believe in preparing for the worst. If I were busted with only two plants, what would be seized? Home? Computers? What? I don't live alone so I want to make sure non of my girls stuff gets involved. She is okay with the number I'm doing but I'm not so sure anymore :thank you:
A couple plants is only a misd at best.Ive had friends get busted with just a 1000 hps and a 4000 mh with plants under both.Ones charges got dropped alltogether and the other one got a years probation.Nothing was takin in there houses at all besides growing material.I do have one question though. How are you harvesting two plants in Veg?Your not flowering themout?

In Cali, ordered seeds from the UK, Cananda, Amsterdam and a few other places I cannot even remember, never a problem, sent to my house, where I have a grow. Never a problem.................of course I live in Santa Cruz, Ca and I may slow down a bit (plus I have genetics for like "life".....due to the recent crackdown by the Fed's.

Ive had a few of these in my years . Nothing to worry bout , Mine were sent to house i was growing in .Nothing ever comes about this . I just continued growing and ordered beans somewhere else. All though ive never been intercepted from seed boutique or seeds direct
(Seeds direct was the old bank before gypsy made the seed boutique:tiphat: Better luck next time eh) Not calling u a lier ,but i doubt anyone sent out 75grams of seeds. Gypsy always has large orders broken into multi parts. Just speaking from experience

I know, I don't know why they put that amount. I'm sure it has something to do with their system somehow.

the 75g was probably the total weight of the package.

i've had great results ordering from gypsy, never had an order seized. and for what it's worth, an envelope coming from britain is going to draw a lot less suspicion than one postmarked from amsterdam.

... Disposition: Prohibited material removed and destroyed. There were X's on two lines saying: Material not authorized entry & Phyto-sanitary certificate missing.
...

no one seems to have mentioned this, they didn't care what you seeds you had
normally, there's a message about attempting to import illegal materials(forget the exact wording)
sorry you lost your seeds, but there should be no worries with the flak suited thugs stopping by
this is at good as it gets for a lost seed order, not that the usual interception is much of a risk

someone posted in here about being busted after an order of seeds were intercepted.
i think his local leo must hang out at the post office and noticed the letter, because i doubt customs did anything besides destroy the contraband and send the letter to let you know.
local leo showed up at his house, and the guy had his windows open and had just taken some bong hits. i forget exactly what happened next, but it ultimately led to him being arrested for cultivation. i'm fairly certain it was the usa.
its best to play it safe and not ship to the place you grow. i know it can be hard finding a safe address without that person knowing something. a few times i had them shipped to my brother who lived in another state, and he just sent them to me. to have that address put on some sort of list just isn't worth it to me. if you absolutely have no choice, use the name of the previous occupant, and leave the package sealed by the front door for a few days. if anything happens and they come in, it looks like you were saving it for that person.

It's funny they weren't that interested in the fact that they were cannabis seeds. With a Phytosanitary permit there would have been no issue. I've had a few orders from various vendors intercepted over the years here in Canada but it was because it was MJ. I also order a variety of other plant genetics from around the world and I don't have any trouble even though lack of a phytosanitary permit would be a legit reason for mail intercept. It would be intertesting to hear from someone in Australia where phytosanitary rules are pretty extreme.

I have never heard of anyone getting busted from Customs turning that person in to there Local Police for the interception of seeds. Some might have been busted for sending seeds to there grow and maybe Local PO was tipped off by the Post Office if they had a postmaster that was an a$$hole, and some might have been busted for something else and thought it had something to do with there seeds getting snagged. But thats even hard to fathom. If you look up Laws as far as whats a Violation,Misd or Felony as far as Seeds getting nabbed,i doubt it is more than a Violation.Because if recieving seeds was a major crime like a high Misd A or B or even a low Felony E,you would hear of many people getting arrested for this all over the boards. And many would be sharing there experiences of what has happened, but rarely out of whatever number of seeds getting snagged out of many thousands, do you hear of much at all of people getting busted due only to this ocurring.I wouldnt worry myself and i would also never send seeds to my grow,Myself.Just be safe with everything you do,and you should be ok.You have about the same chance of going to jail for this as you do for jaywalking, imo.Peace and Stay Safe,DancesWithWeed:wave:

It is interesting to see how freaked out people can get over some seeds being confiscated. Could you imagine the DEA kicking in doors over some seeds? I dont think the general public or any judge in his right mind would be down with that.

Unless they have some evidence that you are running a large commercial operation they dont give a fuck. You have to realize that they are only in it for the money. Your money. They have to fund there bullshit agenda, and busting hobby growers aint gonna pay their bills. They have to pay the assholes who kick in your door, shoot your dog, fondle your girl and scar your children for life. Doing those things over a couple of plants makes bad press.

If you own property, cars, and cash that cant be explained then you have something to worry about. If youre a working stiff just trying to get by, who pays his taxes and has a couple plants in the closet.... dont sweat it.

They aint petty theives, they are the real deal.

that's an interesting point, but i suppose the worst case could be bad
for one thing, there's the long list of laws just for getting whoever they want
for example, conspiracy to manufacture a illegal controlled material
but they don't do that for small orders, there have been a few cases, but seems less over time
the most famous case was this doctor in indiana, he did order after order, and there were multiple interceptions
a lot depends on your state(if the USA), indiana is one of the bad ones

Xmas time is a great time to order. Alot of mail in the system, Alot.

I can see what walt cunningham said happening. small town, leo has no leads on things to do. Small post office, everyone knows everyone. If you can get in some serious trouble for what your doing, never leave anything out in plain site, never blaze in common areas that open up to the outside. I am a firm believer in double doors at your front door, enclosed porch etc...

Hope all stays well, I feel you should be ok. B-safe

No worries . Have seen that letter multiple times. From friends ,never led to any kind of action . Going back to 1998. It's a d'être rant letter. To make you think twice about having contraband sent into the us. They would not have removed and destroyed if they planned any actions. Those get sent out to people in the USA 10s of thousands a day. It would be an overly expensive effort to follow up on just a few seeds. And one more point those letters are from customs , when they enter the country. Not your home town post office.

Those of us mentioning the home town post office, are referring to the conversations generated when a local resident's mail shows up marked with tape indicating it once contained contraband. Small towns have no anonymity.

Yeah, but yer hometown post office is who delivers it to your house,so they see the customs letter when they are delivering it to yer house. But its stil not going to lead to anything imo.

Right on . I see that. I realize now that I feel like I live in a small town atmosphere, but in reality I don't live where everyone knows everyone. I was just tryin to help to put anyone at ease that the Feds arent gonna be running down their door. But then again you have your points also.

I dont think that was ever gonna happen as far as the PO contacting LEO,i was just saying that it goes through yer Local postoffice after Customs, but like you said, this happens so much that they cant look into it all the time.Nothing will come of this, ive seen many say they recieved these notices but none that im aware of had lead to arrest.
