Hey guys. Here I will be chronicling the adventures of a couple old dudes and the situations that arise when they decide to pitch a tent together in an unused bedroom.
It's gonna get hot, stinky, and humid in there without these helping. 24k BTU window banger, 70pt dehui, and a tall filter with a 12" fan on top.
I'm running the drain from the dehui to the basement sump and a reservoir for my blumat drippers will go up in there above the filter and dehui. The rez will be topped off via a float valve and a hose run up from the basement.
My goal is to work the least amount possible while producing the highest possible quality herbs.
Yeah yeah guys, right on, pack it in! The more in here, the merrier!
Today was spent getting all the little odds and ends in order around the room itself. AC installed, a couple holes in the floor drilled, a little electricity. I thought we might get to mixing the dirt today, but little stuff kept popping up, and the last thing I want to do is paint myself into a corner. Things are pretty crammed in there and it would suck to have to backtrack.
So tomorrow we'll get a bunch of dirt mixed. I'm using 4 - 4x4x1 Geoplanters in here. Each one is just under 120 gallons, so we'll be at it for a couple hours.
Yesterday I was thinking we might be able to mix dirt today. Alas, I was wrong. It's so easy to forget all of the little things that need to be done, even with a little 4kW setup.
I was far from unproductive today though. I think I put in a solid 4 hours. I got the float valve installed in the rez and all she needs now is to be hooked up to a garden hose. I picked up 100 ft of hose that was drinkable grade and contained no lead or anything weird like that.
I really considered going cheap, but figured fuck it. I could have plumbed it, but cpvc would have run me probably just as much as the hose, and a lot more work.
I ran the hose from the dehui down to the basement to the sump:
And we went ahead and set up the tent. I thought we were going to have to wrap the walls around the frame AFTER we put the beds and dirt in due to the lack of space we're dealing with, but this is going to work out just fine:
I could not for the life of me get a decent picture with the walls up on my phone, but you get the idea of what's gonna be going down in here:
I'm doing the tent because I can't scratch the walls, even though they're already ugly as shit in this room, with that wood paneling garbage, but whatever, I don't have to pay rent, so I'm not bitching.
