Hi guys. Looking for some tips on this strain! I will be growing out 4 beans in 1.2x1.2x2m tent under a 550w quantum led, and i'm worried about space. My usual grow style is manifold and aiming for 8 to 16 tops depending on how the grow develops, my questions are....

How long should I veg for?

Would it be wise to start straight 12/12 from seed to limit stretching?

Any other thoughts that could help me?

Hi Carl,
I'll be having one of these A5M's in a similar situation as yours(60x60cm per plant, cob leds 3000K).
The plant is still in seedling stage at the moment and I plan to veg for 4 weeks, meanwhile working her shape for a scrog and then flip after 5 weeks from seed. The pots will be fabric 25L with organic soil mix. I think if one's used to lst and have scrog experience the A5M can be quite manageable compared to more extreme sativas.

I would not start with 12/12 but let her grow freely for two weeks and start bending in the third week or even the second if height is a concern. Maybe with your HLG light you can flip after 3 weeks and expect the stretch to go on for 3-4 more weeks.

This is only speculation, I never had this hybrid before :)

Best of luck!

Cheers

2019 grow

2019 grow

I posted a few pics of this one 10 days ago. New white pistols keep coming and the weather has been perfect so I'm letting it keep going. At this point it would be ok to take it anytime I think.

Nothing I've tried has made any difference in the yellowing of leaves. I think it's fine though. Definitely free of excess nutrients.

Hi Carl,

I took am shortly going to embark on my first journey with this plant. I've read every post of this to give myself as much of an advantage as possible.

One thing other's have reported is that A5H is a heavy feeder. Typically sativa plants like light nutrients, but not so with the A5H.

I plan to grow it alongside Zamaldelica and Panama Haze. I will grow everything in FoxFarms Happy Frog soil (lighter than Ocean Forest) and amend the A5H along the way as needed.

You have a tall tent and a strong light, so I would agree to let it veg for at least two weeks before going to 12/12.

Killer A5 progress

Killer A5 progress

Buds continue to swell, she looks to be a big yielder relative to her size. Not getting a lot of smell from her, although it has been developing more, sort of a nondescript funk. She develops slow and steady and I expect good things to come this month. She can take a lot of feeding, I have used lots of top dressings including kelp, alfalfa, langbeinite, phos etc and have regularly fortified my waterings with my children's urine lol - she takes it all with barely burnt tips, and still is lightening in color. Getting excited!

I have an order in for a pack of these. May be a little while before I get to them, but I just popped an Ace Killer Malawi S1 seed that I will be looking into this fall/winter. Possibly groom for an outdoor run next year if everything checks out.

Well gl with all your grows. i stuck around to upload some of these photos for all to see and maybe it will help someone when deciding on future strains.

Again this is Killer A5 Haze the (NL / Haze Phenotype) these plants were just Harvested today (DAY 81 - since 12/12 Light cycle switch)

She is beyond monstrous. She is looking like a possible 2 pound plant. I just harvested a GDP and got 20 ounces of of her dry and this plant here has around 12 more stalks and the smallest bud on this killer a5 haze is almost twice the size of the biggest GDP bud. Will update a total for curiosity in a week or so.

Pictures don't always tell the whole story, this one does. What a beast. May I ask what size container was used?

the bucket size is 4 gallons. (each plant had its own 4 gallon bucket) and they were all connected together with a 30 gallon reservoir.

this plant was grown in a 12 site rdwc system with a few other strains which were all harvested on day 70. this killer a5 haze was the longest flowering so she finished in this system by herself for the remaining 11 days.

when i harvested the other strains on day 70 i drained the whole system and unhooked all the buckets and then i put this killer a5 haze in a 4 gallon bucket by herself to finish.
