no remedies, i just passed it with great pain for weeks. some of the worst times of my life.
but i do know what caused mine (calcium oxalate), so maybe i can offer a tip on preventive care. I was eating tums anti-acid tablets everyday like they were candy. with added calcium, oh and of course i was vegetarian so yep leafy greens.
good luck brother!
Was that instructed by your doctor? Why not just the acidulated water? What will olive oil do for your kidneys, grease their skids?I been drinkin 2 oz lemon juice mixed with 2 oz olive oil every night, and taking some pills they gave me to make it easier to pass, plus some vicodin. playin the waitin game. pisses me off cuz I got a lot of stuff need to get done, just gon work through the pain till they come down. Thanks to all for the info n support.
Lotsa water, lotsa morphine, lotsa screaming. I had 7.5mm stone stuck above bladder, had to be surgically removed. Pissed blood for a month on and off until surgery. 2 oxys every four hours for 6 weeks. My grandfather had baaad stones - Mom said he'd drape himself over side of bathtub to try and pressure them out. Lotsa booze, lotsa screaming. Mine are calcium stones. Good luck - no fun in sight for you.
Perfect description of my first sex w/girl. (lol)didn't know wtf was happening, was too scared to tell anyone and didn't find out what it was until I was almost 30... when someone was describing what they'd just gone through. Talk about emotional scarring. ROTFLMAO! Could have done without that one.

Blood is O+, and family prob is calcium (milk, cheese, tums, you name it)
Acidulated water, doesn't need to be (perhaps shouldn't) sweetened as lemonade. But at this point I'm repeating myself.Lemonade in mass quantities...no B.S....Not a real Doctor but I play one on TV....Doobie ChowserMD
No vegetarians here - "vegetarian" is actually very old Indian name, roughly translated as "Can't hunt worth shit". Leaner meat on the table 4 outta 7 days a week.Yep... totally diet related. Without finding out your secretor status... O should just avoid dairy altogether.
Ya need Venison, Buffalo, Antelope, Elk... That kind of stuff. My little girl is O and she gets downright cranky after 2-3 days without animal proteins. Doesn't matter if she's getting plenty of protein from plant sources. Don't try being a vegan if you're O... you're just shooting yourself in the foot.
I'd be interested in seeing the results from testing the water. *shudder*
You're being robbed of the fullness of life people. *shrug* You have no idea how good life is... until you've operated at optimum health and performance. Not gonna get that following standard diet 'advice'.
It's like your body is a ferrari and all you've ever given it for gas and oil is cast off crap. Eat right and you'll feel like you've fueld up with racing gas and quality oil/grease for the first time in your life.
I walk around all day seeing people having issues that are directly related to diet.... even just had an old roomate have their leg amputated below the knee. Circulatory problems aggravated an infection.... completely diet related. *sigh* Their doctors don't even know what blood type they are. *sigh* (again)

Maybe you guys who are getting so many stones should talk to a dietitian. The diet plan you're outlining (Tums/antacid + leafy greens) seems guaranteed to make more calcium oxalate stones, not help in reduction.
