I hold my joint with my fingers.......they're always right there when I need them and they do the job so well!
Give it a try! lmfao
Seriously though, why don't you guys just use a rolled up piece of card for a roach like the rest of the civilised world does? We use them for a reason guys, because they WORK.
You don't get left with a chunk of unsmoked weed from every single joint and you don't need a drawer of fukin utensils just to hold it without burning your fingers.
It's a cultural thang.
See, back in prehistoric times, having your own set of hemos was a right of passage for every pot head in the US. It was a status symbol. One often displayed in public, as it would be common to see a persons hemos hanging from their rear view, or maybe even from there belt loop. If you didn't have a nice pair, you wanted one.
Many a Dr's visit netted a pair.
The way we partake in weed is for sure culturally driven. No real one reason behind it, but perhaps a whole host of reasons why. Look at it like soccer (footbol, fussbal, wtf) it has never really caught on in the US, nor will it ever. Not to the level that it is enjoyed in other parts of the world. The US simply does not and will not get soccer. It's a cultural thing, and has only a little bit to do with how the game is actually played and all it's intricacies.
Some may find the way Americans reject methods that seem utterly logical to you, baffling. Like the "roach" as the brits call it. It will never be more than a novelty way to smoke a joint in the US. The regular cigarette roll will never really be replaced as the preffered method of mobile pot heads.
Or go to any area of the US, not one of those areas will it be common to put hash in tobacco to smoke it, yet that is a common practice in other cultures.
Hash alone is another thing that has ever been a big part of the cannabis culture in the US. Oh sure we enjoy it very much, some of us more than others. But the mainstream knows little to nothing about it at all.
Very nice keeper clip, minds I!
More early/mid 70's to early 80's for the hemo rage.
hehehe, we could discuss the intricacies of American smoking for quite a while.
Most Americans that smoke joints will be of two different camps. One does not like the taste of paper at all, and will opt for the smallest and thinnest cigarette papers they can find. A single sized rice paper is usually the choice.
Many do not choose these size and type of papers because of one reason...they can't roll well. Many will opt for the 1.5 or jumbo sized papers simply because it helps them with their rolling.
You will never find novelty type papers like cones and such in the mainstream in America. Those are only novelties that can only be found in head shops and other places of cannabis curiosities.
Seems we have always masked anything cannabis to be like tobacco. In fact, it is what the assumption is to be..that all of the products you see at a head shop is indeed for use with legal tobacco. In fact, if you visit a head shop in may states (if they still have them) you don't even want to mention the word pot, or cannabis, or anything that even eludes to weed. If you do utter these words and they are heard by management, they will not say one more word to you at all, and will hand you a calling card that states something like;
"We believe that you are trying to purchase our merchandise for illegal use or for use will illegal products, and we are asking you to leave our establishment immediately".
The workers are instructed to say nothing, and to not confront you at all after giving you the card. They won't even say good day, or fuck you.
But if you don't leave immediately, the will call leo. Not because they are red, but because they are afraid YOU are leo checking up on them and their procedures.
exactly, person passing releases his own thumb from the grip and at the same time presses the roach into the receivers thumb with enough holding pressure to allow the receivers forefinger to come up & complete grip, simple & an easy way to detect a newbie who's all thumbs.......Forefinger.
Thumb.
Done.

I got several hemos, but like a dental tool better, mostly I use hollow stems, joint pipes. I keep hollow stems at harvest and cut them to whatever lengtht the hole is good to 8, 10, 15 inches.
I wish there was a recycling center, hate to toss roaches, but I ain't ever gonna smoke them either.
