Ok Doug just go ahead and hang the "I'm a dick" sign in front of the "I enjoy proper grammar" one and go to the back of the line.

And either make yourself a drink or put the one you are holding down.

Now roll alot of pot in a lose joint, and accept humans.

:D

You can be one too... just act like one.

:comfort:

The internet is pretty bad but even worse are the people who replace "saw" with "seen". No, you didn't "seen" it you fucking idiot, you "saw" it. Makes me want to punch your English teacher in the mouth.

It is funny but in my field there were quite a few very well written how to books on engine tuning, these manuals were used as the golden seal for decades on learning how to tune an engine.. every new novice would refer to these same industry accepted standards, even manufacturers would parrot these same sets of instructions... Issue was these fuckers who wrote these books only skills were writing the book, they knew very little about engine tuning and much of what they were saying was actually wrong....As my business grew and the numbers of my engines expanded I had to deal with reeducating hundreds on how to properly tune these particular engines .. I have to admit my grammar and writing skills are my weakest link, in college I was good at technical writing but not very studious at overall writing as it just wasn't my thing.... math and physics and mechanical I excelled.. Anyways what often happened is someone would read my instructions on tuning and see obvious grammar mistakes and run on sentences and discount my words for the well written old school instructions written by someone who likely had no real world engine tuning experience... meanwhile my engines are winning races all over the world, I built my own dyno systems and and worked hand in hand with several engines factories on development..decades of real world results cancelled out because of bad grammar LOL !!!..I got such a laugh out of this that I would tend to fudge my grammar just to annoy those who would be annoyed by such a thing...

it got to the point I found out the best way to stop someone from copying my engines was to simply tell everyone exactly what what was done to each engine, if someone else could do the same work better and more efficiently at the same price have at it... found out personal ego would then block other builders from copying my work..they would steal my work in a heartbeat if I kept secrets LOL ..but give it to them openly and it loses the appeal... human nature is funny !

Long story short is don't judge the book by the quality of its grammar, sometimes there is more lurking beneath the surface then what first appears.. schools were never good to very smart free thinkers in a socialist country like mine... in college I was accused of cheating an exam because I completed it so quickly with near perfect score, I had to rewrite the exam under direct supervision... I did even better the second time LOL... fuckers hated me as I wouldn't back down from nothing.

this reminds me of a book i read way back called King of the Norfolk Poachers.

it was written in his own broad Norfolk accent, imparting much wisdome and giving us a taste for becoming poachers in our dreams. sometimes we had to guess what he meant.

I meant when they make the funny talk with them silly accents, but write em down so that they read in your head like the funny talk sounds when you're at the movin pitchers....
