There was a thread i read that i cannot find now where a person was running DWC/bubble bucket and had temps in the buckets over 80 degrees. he had no root issues and his plants looked great. he added a supplement since the heat was high to prevent root rot but i cannot remember what it is and i cannot find the thread. i believe he was using cannazym but again i cannot remember.
so the question is, what can i do about my own high temps in the buckets? i am on my first try with the buckets and have 2 plants that have been flowering since 8/23 and they look great. Also have 2 in veg that are about 18" tall and look great also. everything has bright white roots, no slime or foul smell.
two days ago, i went into the veg room and there was a smell i dont remember noticing before. it was a little foul - i checked the ph of the buckets in there and they were about 4.9-5.0 and had dropped from 5.8. it had been about 10 days since i changed the water so i changed it right away. everything still looks great and ph is fine now. i dont notice the smell anymore either.
when i first started with the DWC buckets, i bought some cannazym but i have used it all since(also just running lucas formula only at this point) So my question is, if someone knows of this thread - please give me a link or if you know of a product or solution for dealing with the high temps, let me know.
i really don't have a way to lower the temps in my room - its hot in there. i only tried the DWC buckets b/c i saw this person running it with high heat so i figure i would try it. (My room temps are high 80s) or is it possible to just change the water out every 7 days and leave it with just lucas formula?
Thanks in advance!!
