Hello everyone ,
Oh my GOD those hempy are sooo slow starters tooo slow.

Nothing special for update YET cause of those hempy's .
I know that they will run sometime but at the moment
i am waiting for them .

Ok updates

I light up my 400 MH and i put my clones there.
My seedlings growing slowly and they start showing me
some roots.I have two strange phenos in my AK47 seedlings
or somewhat of a disformation as you can see in the
photos below.

I feed daily clones and seedlings with R/O water and GMB 2-2-2
per gallon @ 0,4 EC the clones show me some slight nuteburn
but i will not bother for the moment.I feed everyday cause those
party cups is to small.

I am thinking to make a transplant for the clones tommorow
to their 3 gallon buckets wich means 5-6 days delay before the
roots find the res again after that i will give them 5 more veg days
and strait to 12/12 under 600 Watt. You can see the roots of the
clones at the following fotos and if you think that it is early for the
transplant please advise.

Thats it for tonight after the transplant
i will post the Real Hempy's

Veg room under construction and growing

Hello everyone i have some updates for you today.

I transplant my clones to their new and final homes.
Reading around The Official Hempy thread i found a usefull
info that tall containers is better from the same volume short ones.
So i found some 14 liters (3+ gallons) tall containers
and turn them to the new homes of my clones.

One question for you ,
Cause the containers is taler maybe it was beter for me to
move them run off hole at 2,5 inches above the bottom so the res
can hold the same amount of water ??

I make my run off at 2 inches in this buckets but i must fix some more.

I am using the original 3 part perlite 1 part vermiculite and i feed
clones and seedlings with 2-2-2 GMB per gallon.

As you can see in the photos below i add to the veg room my run off
table and the clones , i am now waiting for the roots to find the res
maybe 5 days and after that i will give the some days more veg and
straight to 12/12 .

Thats it all folks cheers ;)

Cheers !!

Hempy uses 10l standard buckets with a 2 inch rule, if i remember correctly, and grows huge sativa monsters so i think you will be okay with the current height. I would follow his directions ;)

I do have one suggestion on how to improve your first phase. Roots do not like any light. That was one of the first thing that more experienced growers taught to me. But that is easy to fix - and you wont even need a flood table after this for seedlings/cuttings. Use double cups and tape the outer one with duct tape and place those cups you have now in them. Now you can easily check the condition of roots - prevent overflow to your table and block light from your roots. I love my clone cups! Hell of a job to make i. ex. 100 of them but when done you can use them again many times.

I root in small rock wool cubes and transplant to 2dl coco cups. Now i can check when the roots are big enough to repot to bigger containers. I cant over water with this system and they are very easy to handle and transplant and even take for a ride to a friends place.

Exactly this is my concern using the standar buckets
with a hole at 2 inch the res holding 2 liters as an example
in my thin and tall buckets with a hole at 2 inch the res will
hold 1 liter. They will nedd watering sooner is the logical outcome
but i am looking if i miss something and what if i put the hole at
2,5 inch so the res in my tall and thin buckets can hold 2 liters too.
Anyway not a big issue.
As for the cup in cup i was using this method long time ago in my soil
runs and i think i must do it cause some algea start forming.

As an update for everyone i think that the seedlings in the party cups
find something usefull for them cause they give me noticable growth in
20 hours time.

Any ideas for the disformed seedlings ? (spot them in the previous post)

Change their place with one of the better looking plants and do a flush with 20+% runoff & mild nutes (and correct pH of course) - If it does not help they might just be bad genetics. I guess there is nothing else for you to do for them :/

It is 100% genetics i cannot do something more
from them than give them a chance to grow.
You are damn right about the light and algae problem
today i replace almost all the perlite from one party cup
but i am still not covering my cups , i will do it
tommorow.

@Hydropimp

Thanks .
It is handy to growing in growing in growtents
you can move them anywhere you like anytime.
I was thinkink not to build those drywall rooms
and buy two big growtents but i cannot afford the cost.
Go buy a camera and let us see your grow , It is my first
Hempy grow and i am encouraged when i see nice Hempy grows.

Updates .

As i mention above one and only one party cup got alot of
algae and i replace almost all the perlite in it.
Tommorow i will cover the party cup to avoid future problems.
The clones seem to stop growing since their transplant to their
new home but i think that they will bounce back in 2 max 3 days.
I am feeding clones and seedlings everyday with 0,7 ec and 5,8 ph
and after i spot some growth in those clones i will raise the
nutes for them.

Anyone any ideas about AK47 flowering time 9,11 or 12 weeks ?

Thats it for now i will have some photos for you when i have
some growth or some constructions to the growrooms.

I will feed slightly , but i can confess that the startup growth rates in those party cup hempy's is too slow.

They are a little slow, but you can speed up the time it takes them to hit the res by feeding with a diluted flowering fert (something with high P and K). Still requires pretty much daily watering, but it stimulates root growth in a big way.

Hello ,

Finaly the seedlings find the res in the party cups and show me serious growth rates ,
i also tape some party cups and put my seedlings inside those light tight ones cause the algae start forming in two more cups and they have some more days in those party cups beafore transplant .

My clones also find the res and give me too some serious growth rates.
Yes Hempy is correct when it says that transplanting in hempy's stop's the growth for some days until the roots hit the res again .

I also have an issue with my runoff table , the white sheeting it is not enough to hold the runoff waters a i have small leaks i am thinking to put a heavier plastic sheeting as a fist step and if this fail i will start thinking polyester coating.

I also don't like the thin and tall containers cause i think that my plants will have smaller
place for the roots to develop inside the res .

Thats it for tonight tommorow i will have some pics from the growth.

As i promise you i have some picture updates so you can
see the growth rates.

So with hempy party cups from this

To this in two weeks time !

Here it is some pics from the clones

and a picture from the veg room.

I remove the run off table and let it dry , the clasic white sheeting
that we use for covering the walls is not good for water proofing the run off table
so i will cover with a thickier transparent plastic sheeting and if this one fails too
i will cover - paint with some polymer elastic waterproofing think.

This week i will also setup the Flowering room and i will move
the clones there to give them some 12/12 schedule.

That's it for today stay tuned cause this week we are going to have
some serious updates and movements.

I am still need your opinion on the thin and tall or fat and short buckets
for my new hempy's .

@Zendo

Serious seeds recommends 56-63 days 8-9 weeks flowering
I make a search here on icmag forums for the strain ( AK47 ) and i see
that a lot of people let it run for 70-77 days 10-11 weeks and some
even let it run for 12 weeks.

One think is sure finishing time has strong relations with the phenotype of
each plant , i will monitor closely the trichs and i will start flushing
for 1 or 2 weeks when the first amber trichs start to apear.

At least this is the plan.

Some updates not something special after only one day ,
i just put back in place my run off table and i take a snap shot of
my seedlings , today i give them promotion to veg stage and they took
the new positions benefits , clones and the "young plants" drink up
solution GMB at 3-2-1 ratio.I am waiting some feedback from them
so i can see if they like the stronger solution.

here are the snapshots of clones and promoted young plants

They look great! Very healthy. I'm excited to see how this progresses. Going to be some good buds in the end, no doubt about it.

Thanks for your support i hope to manage a nice grow here !!!

fiouf !!!!!!!

Just finish some serious work tonight.
2 guys working for 4 hours until we finish.
This day i remember my soil runs , we transplant
the army of seedlings to 3 gallon containers
with 3-1 ratio of perlite-vermivulite.
135 Liters perlite and
45 litrers vermiculite
wet with R/O water ph @ 6,1 and a lot of work.

There is no time to setup the flowering hps
so i leave clones and the young plants in the veg
room for a couple of days more until i setup
flowering room and move
the clones there

For now i can tell you the bad thinks of Hempy's
the good thinks i am going to tell you in about 60 days ;)

Hempy's watered with R/O compine the worst from two
worlds , managing medium and transplants like in soil runs
and not enough R/O water when you needed like my last
RDWC runs.But they look promising.

In some hours i will post some pictures from the mess !!!

i miss growing in all perlite ... damn

ill watch ya from back here :)

The old Hempy grows I've seen back on OG when it was still around were never as complicated as measuring pH. It was just nutes and water, usually a little extra dosage on the nutes. What is the reasoning for measuring the pH? Is it better to measure city water as opposed to well water?

I plan to try a coco+perlite mix in my grow coming up and am curious about the pH balaning and the need for it.

Also I notice no reservoir for runoff on the larger red/brown pots. Is this a new style of Hempy?

Thanks for joining in i will need you positive energy and your help !

@ sm0k4

thanks for checking me out.
I heve enough hydro grows under my belt and ph,ec mesurments
flowing in my blood ;) and anyway i will not hurt me to know
what i am feeding my plants and here their roots sitting in.
the runoff tables removed for 24 hours cause i fail in my first
attempt to waterproof them as you can see in the following pics
their back , hope waterproofed this time.
I am still trying to fogure out a way so the run off tables drain
to something like a res or i will fit a water pump in there to do the job for me.

As i promise i am back with some photos of the
transplanting mess.

135 Liters of perlite + 45 liters of Vermiculite + water + 18 transplants
from almost root bound party cups to 3 gallon buckets = mess

every and each young plant removed from the party cup ,
the roots untagle GENTLY and the plant goes to his new home
after that i make a nutrient solution at 0,7 ec and 5,8 ph
and i give them a light watering cause i haven't enough R/O water.
Tommorow i will give them a good watering with enough run off .

Thats all for now hope for a new update soon with the seting up
of the flowering room.

Pics now first of all the perlite vermiculite mess and the following is from
the veg room with my new army of young plants.
