Help with stalled plants in small tent

G

Guest129216

Just wondering if anybody with a clue might help me out a little here.

Theese plants were put under 12/12 the 4th of july(5 weeks ago)

Grown in normal soil and fertilized with biobizz grow and bloom. Started out with minum dosage and after a week or two I gave them max dosage.

They are in a homebox xs with a 250 hps and cooltube. no fans blowing directly at plants

Strains are ppp(big one) and Alaskan Ice.

They grew very good I thought, but about 2 weeks ago the the fan leaves started dying and budgrowth seemed to stall. I removed the dead fanleaves a week ago, but they just seems to continue dying. Also, some of the leaves coming out of the buds are twisting, and some going yellow.

One week ago I stopped the fertilizing and I just gave them a little water hoping that that would help, but it does not look like it is working.

Temps are 25-35 degrees at daytime, and 10-15 degrees at night

Anybody have a clue whats wrong?

could be nutrient lockout due to ph......could be soil too compact, they could be potbound could be too wet of soil causing root rot...and judging by the size of your containers look like it might be rootbound id transplant and test ph of soil test ph of nutrient solution always.....but it looks like your pistilate hairs are not dying so thats a good sign..and i think your light is too close to plants..good luck ill be back to check up on this thread as im using basicly same setup exept a GL60 tent and floranova nutes and different strains and growth method lol

...Find the ph of your medium, and get a fan on them bitches! It'll not only circulate the air, but it will help dry out the pots more often giving you more control.
I'd also reccomend feeding them NOTHING but 2 ml per gln of Bloombastic from here till harvest. Some lateral growth would help your yield ALOT.
Just my opinion based on guesses, not facts! Good luck! :)

I will try to get some ph measuring strips today(pharmacy?) , and also flush them. Have not really found a fan small enough to put in the tent yet, but the soil dries out almost dayily anyhow.

I was planning to LST, but I was so busy with my outdoor plants that it just didnt happen.....

I only have the ferts ive been using, so I will stick to them I think. The growtent is not at my house so its a little bit timeconsuming to check on them.

Thanks for the input man, I appreciate it very much.

Its nutrient lockouts due to wrong PH.

The Ph should be between 6 and 6,5... you can tell that the ph has been too high because the leaves are curling/clawing downwards. We have found pharmacy ph strips to be inaccurate and often they dont cover the ph range that you need/want to test for.

Ill recommend this product, its cheap (100kr) and accurate.

The other product you will be needing is a bottle of PH- to lower the ph in the tapwater, you can also use vinegar i think in a crisis situation, but id call for some second opinions on the vinegar as ive never used it myself im not 100% sure how the plants will react to it, but it will lower the ph in the water tho.

You do not need to flush.. just make sure you give them the right PH from now on.

If I buy bottled water, would that have the right ph?
And if so,should I just keep on feedint, or give it just plain bottled water for a while?

Good thing I dont need to flush. I read about it at Hyperborea once something about that, but I couldnt find the page lol
Thx for the help my man!

Will see if I can order that thing.....

I strongly doubt it tbh.

Feeding the plants when the ph is off is of little use as they will lock out or not be able to absorb certain types of nutes when the ph is off. This is commonly referred to as PH-lockouts.

So, unless you have control over the PH, then no.. you do not need to feed them. There may be built up nutes stored in the pot from previous feedings where the plant has been unable to absorb it due to ph lockouts.

Flushing as a means of correcting mistakes is highly overrated or borderline pointless imo, you risk doing more damage then good in most cases.

Im sorry to tell you this, but you really NEED to get that PH under control very quickly, the girls are entering the period of maximum growth, ph lockout during these weeks will devastate your yield and quality of bud.

First pri is always PH, second pri is the nutes. My main mantra that i tell all new indoor growers is to be very attentive about the PH, because the PH is really decisive in determining how much nutes the plant can absorb.

I dont think i can stress enough that you need to fix the ph quickly since you are entering the weeks of accelerated bud growth.

Dont they have a growshop in the city? Mby your buddy can pick up a ph test kit and some PH minus for you next time he is down there?
If not, shoot me a pm ;)

Peace buddy, hope we get this sorted quickly so you dont end up with popcorn buds on your indoor stash.

How often were you feeding?Did you feed them when the soil was dry?as in nutes

glad to help m8

the tap water has a ph of 7 to 8 normally, so its still going to be too high. I guess you will need ph+ aswell. Some nute brand makes the ph go down, others are already regulated to the correct ph.

When giving only pure water of ph 7-8, you will need ph minus to make it go down. But when or if feeding with a nute brand which isnt regulated to the correct ph, it will lower the ph to below 6 when feeding.

so that ph meter is really going to come in handy. :)

Just came back from my plants, but forgot my camera.......

The ph Only Ph meter they had in town was 300 usd, which was too much. I will have to order online, so It will take some more days.....

I did get some ph minus water though(canna). It said to mix 100 ml with one litre of my usual mix, but I just mixed it with water(yesterday). Didn t really know what to do......Should have bought ph pluss too then I guess, but I saw your message too late arctic.

They are still looking bad. The pistils seems healthy though.. More and more fanleaves are dying. Not too bad on the Alaskan Ice, but they are going yellow on that plant more and more.

I may have overferted, but I have used as prescribed on the bottle(max dose). And if It was overferting, should not they have gotten better after I started just watering them with water?

I water every or mostly every other day actually, with about 1,5 litres on the plants combined. The soil usually dries out before every watering. Maybe I have burned the roots by giving them nutes on dry roots?

I dunno, but it will good to get a ph meter........ Lotsa theories u know.....

Thx for help guys, I will see if I can snap a pic later today or tomorrow.

everyone is talking about PH but I am curious are those plants revegging? There seems to be a ton of growth with no bud on it.

When come to think of it, I have not checked if it is dark in the tent during nighttime for a long while. Maybe I touched a switch or something. I will check on that.

Great big plants (in soil) little bitty pots,,,,,,,

Bad combo. I'm thinking severly rootbound.

I have a Sour Bubble that just stops growing when rootbound - it stayed in a 1 gallon pot for 6 or 8 months in a sort of suspended growth spell - still green and healthy, but "stuck"

within days of being transplanted - I had a sudden spurt of growth.

I have an AK-47 that starts budding when rootbound.

Transplanting during flower can be trouble - it can shock the plant and induce hermis -

Looks like your timing is off - probably vegged a little long for the size of pot and the size of the room.

If your watering daily,- definatly rootbound.

Then airflow and circulation -- looks like a prime candidate for a mold outbreak during late flower - be careful!

BOM; you're welcome.

I say this with the utmost respect; do some research. If you dont know (according to yuor last post) if ''it's dark in the tent during nighttime for a long while.'' than you shouldnt even waste your time and money trying to grow. Keep pluggin away with advice from reputable sources, and you'll get there my friend! Remember that, to the plants, YOU are GOD. Only give em what they ask for. :)
