Great grow. thx for the link. That parabolic really focuses the light. You May have convinced me on the mh. I do DWC and really like it, not so far from what you are doing.

No worries! One thing worth mentioning is that I don't use a tent. Not sure if I would try it in a tent setting. The parabolic shade barely fits in my 4x8 tent.

First off more pics of your grow would be great. Second thx for your recommendation.
This will be in a 12x15 outbuilding. I have just allocated4x4x8.5 high. I will not be a tent however it will be enclosed. I will be using this fan.

The only pics I have left to post are what I've harvested. Nothing left standing. Keeping the heat down is the challenge.

One plant is all bagged up. Yielded a quarter pound off of it. I still have three plants to go.

Edit - sept 1 - did the other plant and got a quarter pound off it too. So my total would be somewhere around 3/4 pound.
Not bad!

Substitute,
Not sure if you are still around, I'm using that philips 1000w protected bulb and I am getting a ton of visible color shift while it is running. Have you ever seen anything like that?

Mine had a little bit, but i saw it as nothing to worry about. It kinda oscillated between red and blue. Also, I'm using a magnetic ballast. Not sure how much running difference that would make if you're using electronic. Could be a funky lamp too.

Thanks. I'm running that Philips bulb with a Nanolux OG ballast. I spoke with Nanolux and they said that ballast would run both Prob start and pulse start bulbs so It should be ok. I have ordered a

not sure which setup Ill end up using.

The vivo lamp looks good at 4200k, but it doesn't look like it's protected...so you would have to use an enclosed fixture. The fixture in the link looks good.

I kinda worry about not getting enough UV with an enclosed fixture, but I'm not sure of how much loss there is, etc.

yea I hear ya. Like I said, not sure what Im gonna do. The protected MH bulbs are quite expensive compared to the others $25 vs $100. I was talking to the guy at the electrical supply house the other day he said they dont get asked for the protected anymore and wondered how much longer they are going to exist.
