Yes the filter kills all the odor. There are two methods to install a filter. One is in your growroom the other is outside your growroom.

It's easy to install the filters. You have [FILTER]==tube==[FAN]==tube==exhaust (when the filter is inside your room).

Or you can have ==tube==[FAN]==[FILTER] <-- Exhaust. It depends on the space you have, if you're going to build a cabin your self I would use extra space for the filter etc.

I said before always use a bigger fan then you need this is to deal with noise and it will be easier to control high temps. I used 250W HPS with a 500m3 snail fan and I could sleep next to it as there was no noise at all.

Isn't a grow tent a better option?

lol those inline filters make a lot of noise especially if you run it on 100%. Here snail fans in a box are very populair. Every grower I know uses that guideline I have posted before.

If you use a dimmer on a fan and dim it there wont be a lot of noise compared to a low capacity fan that runs on 100%. Beside with a high cap fan it will be easier to control the climate in the summer. So whats the point of using a 350m3 fan with a 600W bulb? He should be lucky if he would get a good temp in his room.


Beside the guy said he wanted to put it in his room, so the last thing he need is noise from the fan.

Thats a grow tent. It's extremly easy to setup and install the equipment in.

@Bush Dr; rofl I always thought people do that because they don't have enough room in their grow area. Hower it does work so there is nothing bad about it.

hm I was thinking to build one my self out of garbage bin, but that will be in another thread. now where I could buy these tent that will be as small as possible, low noise and hav erythink I. ned inside.l, also low cost?

Right now after erythink we discussed here I come to conclusion that I will ned grow box to grow, because of the few factors as odor n stealth. So right now am not lookin to purchase tent. But to build one my self. Soon I will open new. thread and notice it here so eryone can folow.

Or you can place it inside a box, isolate this box with noise reduction pads, hang the fan in it, attach the tubes to it. It will be very silent.

@Bush Dr; If he buys equipment from the UK he needs a power socket converter, in the UK they use a different socket compared to the rest of the EU.

A tent can be used for drying your weed. If you're going to build a grow box you better build it with wood and isolate it with rockwool. Before you start you need to ask your self the following questions.

How do you want to grow?
Where do you want to germinate the seeds?
Where do you want to keep the baby plants?
Where do you want to flower and veg them?
Where do you want to tim your plants because in this process the MJ smell will be very noticable.
Where do you want to let them dry?

Thats the process from seed to plant. You can do everything in one box but it will slow you down before you can start a new round. If you use a separate room you can start to veg and when you'll harvest you can put them in the flower room, so it saves you time.

Baby plant is well uhh a babyplant lol. Thats how I call the plants in their early stage (from the first till the second week).

Vegetative stage (vegging), thats simply when the plant is in the growing period. The lights are turned on for 18 hours and off for 6. The plant will grow only and it will not produce flower hormones.

Flowering stage, in this stage the plant will produce flowering hormones this is caused by the 12/12 light cycle (12 hours light/12 hours dark). So she will start with the bud production.

^ This one is my favorite, they show you how to design a grow room. The only thing they didn't do is isolate it with rockwool isolation pads. I think the reason for this was because it was recorded in the late 90ties, in that era the police didn't even use FLIR camera's and growing marijuana was something like magic. It's wasn't popular like it is now.

I don't own the copyrights of these videos I just found them longtime ago on youtube. Watch and try to understand them, when it comes to MJ growing you really need to do it before you'll understand more.
