i have grown single cola plants like that bubbleicious. theyre usually always sativa, feed her less, start really light and she will tell you when she wants more. your leaves are beginning to claw up from too much nitrogen.

Funny because the BUbbleicious is mostly Indica. Her leaves started to yellow, so I upped her N a bit. Then she got droopy, so this makes sense. I thought I was still underfeeding her so I upped her nutes again last night. Once the lights are back on I'm going to cut her pot with some more water though. Thanks for the advice!

yeah i thought they were indica too since they were one cola, but theres nothing indica about that long ass flower cycle. the pistils will most likely all turn way before the trichomes turn. don't make the same mistake i made. i cut it down and the high was really weak and the calyxes were really tiny. looked at the trichs under a scope and they were all still very small and clear.

From what I've read its 9-11 weeks. Hopefully out of 10 seeds I can find a pheno thats closer to the 9. I prefer expansive and creative highs, I just chose the Bubbleicious to try a strain with emphasized flavor, and to have at least a strain for bed time. If I can only find 11 week phenos, I probably wont keep her in my garden. How long of flower times did you experience?

I always go by trichs, I try to pull right after they start to amber, which is early for some people, but its worked out great for me so far.

Just thought I'd stop by to say the cab is confirmed to be full of girls. Im stoked to not have to chop anything!

lookin great! i'm thinking of going dwc with my next micro setup, seems pretty simple

It really is simple. I was intimidated by hydroponics at first, as are all growers. When i got down and realized that the size limitations people have been setting in books and forums were all subjective, I saw the light! It was an experiment that cost me like $30, and I never turned back!

A quick picture update. All plants are growing strong, minus the Satori2 who, although shes a confirmed female, has not been putting on much size. She looks healthy, just small. And the chopped up leaf you see on the solo cup is from a fan accident last week :dunno:

picture.php

And here is whats going on with my large Satori. This problem is creeping in on my leaves slowly. I thought is might be a calcium deficiency? How far off am I? Anyone see this before?

looks like a K deficiency. older leaves turning yellow on the tips, then comes the small rust colored spots. i see a few on the lower portion of the posted pic.

Good call e_24, thank you. After reading up on it a little, Ive probably locked out the K by adding too much calcium. I hate having to change here nutes out so often, but I'll be doing it again tonight with less Cal. If that doesnt work, I'll see what I can do to get her some more K.

congrats on the all girls.

as for sativa's and flowering time. i just "finished" one at around... somewhere between 16 and 20 weeks. i cant be 100% sure of the time cuz i threw it into my flower box back at the end of june and i just pulled it out last week. it takes a long time to even start flowering, like 6 weeks then after that the buds come out soooo slow. im not even sure it was done when i pulled it but the trichs are all cloudy and it... im sorry i just realized im still high. i clipped the top of a burnt bud from one of my plants last night and i smoked it in my bong some...2-3 hours ago. im still high.

anyway this bud im high off of is an offspring of the sativa im talking about that went some 16+ weeks and im not sure if its done or not since they just keep putting out pistils.

but most people say 12 weeks is what you should look for in a sativa and if it goes longer then ditch it.

your plant up there looks like K def, older fan leaves first right? calcium would show on your baby leaves first.

depends on how patient you are. i am patient but i am also limited on room. if i need the space the bitch is gettin cut.

Ive grown Sativas out, Im aware of the long flowering times. I grew out a GHS trainwreck pheno that went over 20 weeks. I was referring to this Bubblicious in particular though. Have you grown out that strain past 16 weeks? I havent read of anyone taking it past 10 weeks, and many chop under 60 days. Its a dominantly indica plant, I havent read of any phenos that are that sativa heavy.

After losing many mothers when I tore down the previous cab, and losing a few more after my time away from home on this run, Ive realized that I dont have as many different strains as I would like. Ive decided to basically get a big grab bag of sorts of single seeds. This is the first time Ive ever not ordered from Gypsy, and I only went a different route this time because I had very specific needs this time around. I do not want to promote any other seedbank here, and Im only going to make this list once, to show which breeders I chose from, so that there are no confusions with shared strain names. From here on out, I will only refer to my plants by strain name. I dont care if the ones I chose are originals or fakes or whatever. If this post is an issue, mods please contact me to edit it and I will comply peacefully.

Sativa Seedbank Jock Horror
Female Seeds Fast Nevilles (fem)
Nirvana Papaya
Nirvana PurePowerPlant
Dutch Passion Original Flo (fem)
Sativa Seedbank Raspberry Cough
Seedsman Early Durban
Paradise Nebula (fem)
Bomb seeds Cherry Bomb
TGA Vortex
Mandala Mandala #1
Mandala Ganesh
Mandala Kalichakra
GHS Super Lemon Haze (fem)
Female Seeds C99 (fem)
Barneys Farm Sweet Tooth (fem)

I plan on germing the Nebula, then literally letting my wife pick 2 out of a hat, and we'll go from there. Im not worried about not getting a female from each, I know its a toss up. Im just doing something different and hope I can get at least 4 good mothers from the 12 new potentials.

Well Im starting to get anxious. Its been awhile since Ive had this feeling, the harvest is getting close. I figure we're at least a week out, probably a bit more. I ordered some Clearex, and I'll probably start the flush as soon as it arrives, and just go from there. Buds are getting chunky, and the odor is just relentless. Its sweet with a fruity undertone, and you'll get some funk if you rustle her up a bit. Trich production is some of the best I've achieved, maybe only second to the C99xDeepChunk I grew out in the previous cab.

heres the Satori I speak of

and the rest of the cab

Anyone wanna recommend growing any of the strains I chose? I should have room for 8 mothers. Ive got the space, so I want to use it! Im pretty sure I'll keep a Satori. I currently have 3 to test, and I'll decide my favorite. Bubblicious will be on the plank. I probably wont want more than 1 or 2 heavy indica buzzes, so it'll depend on how well she stands up to the new girls. I think I'll be lucky to get a healthy blue satellite, but we'll see. Power Kush is in the same boat as the Bubblicious, although she is an incredibly vigorous grower. I transplanted the PPP clone from the bubbler to soil. Shes not 100%, but it looks like shes gonna live. Hopefully its a female. More shots to come as the harvest gets closer!

I did some research and read that MaxiBloom at 1tsp/gal equals out to the Lucas Formula. Im now diving into some of those threads and getting more info on its benefits. So today I changed out all of my tubs and put them all at 1tsp MaxiBloom, +5 drops of Awesome Blossom. I imagine that knocks the numbers off some, but I dont see it having negative effects. We'll see how all of the plants react to this default formula.

the big Satori from the other side, did a lot more fan leaf trimming and re-tied her down to open her up and get some light to some buds that had been in the shade

Satori pheno1 and Satori pheno2. #1 is 2 weeks older, but #2 hit some sort of growth stunt. I'll give her another shot with another clone later since the mother is so healthy. #1 has been severely manicured and is looking to be a perfect budsicle. If the smokes good, it will be a perfect keeper in the mother side.

I had the Power Kush on top of the other pots, but decided to move her to the bottom to try and squeeze a little more stretch from her. It might be too little too late though. Still happy with her progress
picture.php

And my kind of ugly Bubblicious. Now giving her no extra N, which I had been adding lightly since she was still young. I agree she looks like she wasnt taking well to the extra nutes

We're on day 3 of the flush on the Satori. Trichs are pretty cloudy, so I just plan on continuing the flush until she starts showing some amber, then take her down. I used Clearex for the first day, just dumped it and put in a second round of Clearex, and tomorrow I'll start with plain, Brita filtered water until shes ready.

and heres the Power Kush solo cup beside my 2 other Satori phenos. Im Clearexing all of my pots today, I think the Bubblicious (not shown) is experiencing lockout.
