Got a Beer Belly?

O

OrganicOzarks

With the amount of water we use right now, by 2050 the entire planet will have to have a 95% vegetarian diet to sustain the population.

HA,HA,HA,HA,HA,HA:)

This will be a good thing.

Yes, our food and environment are filled with body rotting, cancer inducing crap. That said much is simply genetic. In many cases you're future has already been determined. My sister is a trauma nurse in a NYC hospital. She has told me(having seen many people die) that for the patient a heart attack is the way to go. Short, quick without a prolonged pain filled interim. She said for the patients family, cancer with a hospice end is best as they have time to process the end of a loved ones life and say goodbye......................

no quantity of abs, push-ups and diet will save you from getting sick, aging, suffering and dying.

sorry.

if by "you", you mean me, then yes, exercise and diet does save me from getting sick and suffering. Ain't nothing going to stop me from aging and dying.

i need a certain level of physical performance to do the projects i have on my list. aerobics every fucking day, some strength training -- i want to add a pound of muscle mass per year (a gram per day), anything more is excessive for me -- and a diet of whole food, no processed crap, very little processed anything. meat for seasoning, relative to fruit and veggies.

the aerobics forces me to really consider what goes into my mouth and kills viruses. and the NordicTrack is so fucking boring it forces a bit of mental discipline. win, win.

BMI 22, but my six-pack abs look more like a bump ... gives me something to work on, a purpose for the physical efforts.

Anyone had one of those Track Climber things? Worth the $$?

You're talking about those NordicTrack climbers, yes? Where it's like a stairmaster that also has grips for your arms to attain an upper body workout. I've never used one, but they seem as if they'd give one a great workout. I love stairmasters. I'll often split my cardio regimen into a 25 minute treadmill/25 minute stairmaster routine.

People must take responsibility for their own health. It's as simple as that. Doctors are not going to make your health better. No health care plan will help you.

It takes no sort of genius to look at the food choices and understand...that those are very important elements in overall health (or lack of). You are what you eat....very true. Put shit in...and well..your health and performance will suffer. It may be cheaper at the grocery store...but not really...as you will be paying the costs later.

A constant intake of good water...yup...there you go. Good food...good water.....get off your asses and move around. Get off the tit of consumerism. Processed foods will kill you...in the most ugly of ways.

Health is probably the most important aspect to living. Once health goes...the fun ends. All the money in the world will not buy it...or replace it.

* that being said....I train for the last crust of bread. It's a competitive world out there.

I agree that everyone needs to get up off the couch and off their computers and have some fun.. Although in many cases I have seen many ppl have accidents and have to come back from that... They took gym out of the schools here so that should tell you how much we care. Brought it back in highschool.. ...
As far as this study goes I believe if I can remember this correctly the chemicals have been poured into our plastics and waterway cause we really care about what happens to ppl in the end lol.
Health is so important but you don't think about it till you lose it.Truth be told in the end it's not that important what you look like as looks will one day fade ...lol...What is truly important is who you are and maybe who you have helped lol stay real headband 707:biggrin:

My best buddy growing up was a runner/marathoner. He was the most diet concious dude I ever saw. He had a heart attack at age 30. That was 15 years ago.

He used to rib me about smokin' weed, and how it was going to kill me one day.. He would say "See ya at the funeral"

Well, I was there....

im almost 40 ..I had a nice one going. But the past few years i cut back the beer.Friends come over each weekend .They all have 3 -4-5 each .I have one or 2 tops ....I just can't stand, the feeling after the buzz ends from drinking 4-5....

I started a new regimen of eating....Starts with not using food as a comfort item..Eating anything you want ,but twice a day .And limiting the total amount of food you eat.But when shopping ,mostly Chicken/Rice.....Turkey/gravy/bread/mashed P...Haven't included exercise yet.But im down from 235lbs to 216.

1 Multivitamin 2 omega-3 fish oil ...Smoke ganja once a day in the morning, cigarrettes and coca cola all day .No depression anymore...wanna get down to 200lbs..This will take some excercise for sure....

Beer has so many calories. I was overweight due to drinking too much; like a 12 pack a day!

It took me a good 6 months to lose the weight. What is really disturbing is seeing all of the young guys (college age) that have beer bellies and are over weight. Why? because at that age weight should not be an issue. If you are fat in your early twenties, then you are in big trouble, because it don't get any easier.
