GORILLA AND CHOCOLATE SKUNK GONE TO FLOWER ON 250W HPS

Hey pals!
Gorilla photoperiod growing under 250w MH light 18/6 in soil.
7th week.
Using FloraTrio pack, seen overdosing signs. Generally, I've noticed smooth slowdown in growing.
What will the stretching be after 12/12 turnover and what potential yield of this plant do you predict, experts, under 600w GIB EXTREME 92000lm output hps lamp in a 1m×1m tent.
Thank you!

This would be Gorilla Glue?? Ive not grown it, but have read it has a pretty good stretch in 12/12. Some say 3-4 times stretch.

I myself would have vegged it under the 600w. I use 1000w Hortilux HPS from seedling-flowering.

I would transplant it into at least 10 gallons soil if possible, veg it 10 more days under the 600w, for 24 hours a day, and then flip it.

What size of container?? I wouldnt use anything less than 10 gallons myself, especially if I was growing one plant, and trying to get the most possible yield out of it. Though it may be hard to transplant it out of that container, and in soil. I myself like Promix BX. Growth is slow under a 250w Halide. Even 400w Halide gives slow growth compared to a 600w. The 600w is optimal for a 3 x 3 area, and will give 66w sq/ft. Which is perfect for HID. By contrast a 1000w HID/Hortilux HPS gives 62,5w sq/ft in a 4 x 4 area.

I myself also dont top plants, though I do bend them over, and they grow into a huge round shrub. Ive got aaaan old Barneys Farm G13 x Haze that stretches 3-5 times in veg that I regularly get 20-22oz per plant in a 20 gallon container, and 60 days veg under 1000w Hortilux. Your 600w HPS has the same color temperature as the Hortilux, so it works in both veg, and flowering. Ive used the Hortilux for veg-flowering since they came out in the 90s. I also veg 24 hours a day.

Id transplant if possible into at least 10 gallons of soil. Veg it 24 hours a day for 10 days under 600w, and then flip it. Ive used 24 hours veg since the 70s. I myself use 5 gallon grow bags to veg, and then just cut the bag away from the plant. I use 20 gallon plastic containers for flowering, but a 20 gallon grow bag is fine. Size of container is also dependent on strain. Some strains will never use 20 gallons of soil. Some will be rootbound in 20 gallons. Fast growing, large stretch strains need all the soil, and light they can get.

Robert, thank you for your advice. I have got just 12l pot(3gallon). Also I have temperature issues in my region. I grow during nightime(day) and it gets to 29Celsius. I'm going to wait a month more, cus I just started 3 more Chocolate skunks. They'll be month when I'll flip the whole tent room to flowering.
Here also Gorilla and 2 Chocolate skunks just after 6 "night" hours, 20 minutes ago..

Id put them in bigger containers. 3 gallons with that much veg time is going to have them root bound. The stretch will be greatly reduced in flowering if so little soil is use, and will be asking for trouble.

the volume is huge, how can I safely transplant it to a bigger pot?

When I veg in 5 gallon containers, they have usually used up alll of the available space in the pot. I usually moisten the soil/rootball, and turn the container on its side, and slightly elevate the container, and wiggle the soil/plant out of the container. But like I siad, I now usually use a grow bag to veg, and cut the bag away from the plant while having the plant/bag sitting in the new container.

Looking good. Those gorilla seeds can easily 3x or 4x their size in first 3 weeks of flower. I'm guessing this is from europe because I (feel like I) recognize the leaves
yes, for sure. ive just bought 12 gallon pot, dunno how gon be transplanting it, I may cut pot with metal scissors, because the root ball is huge and stem is thin for grabbing. somehow gonna do it.and be ready for stretching. also will start Diamond nectar)

Nice grow methods - I have found that when growing that way is that I have to add more weeks to veg , doing so realy gives a large plant - veg 30day /45day at most 60day (seen a few 60days'er and Dam they wer large plants) but don't wan tot spend thst much time in veg - perfer 30-45 days depending on strain and growing method FYI Peace keep us posted !

How are they doing??
they slow down. yesterday I put 600w in a 1m×1m tent, and the temp jumped to 35C(
I didnt know this hps would do such thing.i have Carbon filter-duct-coolhood-duct-exhaust fan system. I put back 250w, and got upset, I suppose I'll be in a club of 250watters for flowering also....

Dimming a HID changes the color spectrum. Probably not a good thing to do. Also decreases bulb life.
A 250w lamp is only good for x 2 x 2 area. A 400w HID will cover 2.5 x 2.5 area. A 600w covers 3.1 x 3.1

then I dont have an option but to wait for colder weather outside and switch to 600w
just photoshoot my girls)

My ballast is designed to lower the wattage. Three settings 250 I use on seedlings. 400 for a while in veg then 600 for veg and flower . I use hortilux bulbs and don’t see any issues. Yes it gets hot. I avoid indoor grow in the summer. If your ballast has these dimmable settings seems it shouldn’t hurt, and should be safe. I’ve had no issues.

One very important point. The bulb should be rated for 400 watts if you dim to 400. I never did this but apparently what I do is not the right way. Check this link.
