I know exactly what you mean man! And the landlord is not even the biggest thread here. It are my neighbours that are keeping an eye on it.
Doing it with a 250W bulb, I still feel the hot breath of those folks around me every day. Reason to keep it low, and better, not do it at all in this atmosphere
