Ghostwolf's 2nd Bigger, Better PC Grow Case and Grow

Thanks BC, Scrub, and #1 cheesebuds for checking out the family as it stands right now. The last male has run thru his cycle and died, but I collected what pollen I could for the new F1's which one so far is a girl and the other should show in a day or so. But now I have six and very possibly seven girls going. The new ones I'm really shocked with. they are growing really fast just like my old grows did in the old larger cab a 6'x4'x2'. I think I'm gettin back into my old grove again finally, cool. These plants are now bigger than the photos above and the leaves are really short and fat. It looks like I've crossbreed something that went heavy to the indica side of the family tree. I can hardly wait to pollinate them so I can hopefully get a some what stable F2. I'm also hopping that I've come up with a winner here. I said I was redoing the case and I still have some more to do on it. And I will show you all the improved case when it's done. So far I've removed the silver stuff from the side panels and painted them white and repositioned the two power strips at the front and rear, higher and gained some needed pot space at the bottom of the case. I reran the power strip wiring and strapped it all down so it's more neat in that area. The old heat sink fans are coming out since one has already burned out and is gone, the other is about ready to give up it's ghost. But they weren't effecting the temps either way, still the heat sinks do work on their own anyway. Most of the silver stuff is gone, it only remains in the top as a reflector and as trim around the corners inside and around the front and back, the front has a new white panel also. And the temps tonight were 81. I'll be adding some louvres to the side intakes to tone down the light to hopefully a dim glow. and I'm also making light traps for both cases again hopefully I will eliminate the exhaust light without restricting air flow. They will look a bit industrial but should work if I've done it all right. I had to sacrifice some stealth for performance as the plants are whats most important here anyway. Till then "Go in a good way all".

They are looking healthy dude, good work!!
Thanks Doc. It's good to hear from you. they are doing good. But my new F1's are the big news they have taken off like crazy man. One just 18 days from seed at 12/12 has shown to be female and both are over taking all the others, and have big, short, wide leaves. I think I brought out a recessive indica gene. I'm going to cross them back to an original parental strain male, and hopefully I'll keep those traits. I'm hopping I'll come out with something interesting.:)

Thanks b00m, They are of unknown strains. The Dad was a indica/sativa cross that's all I know about him but the females of the strain are real stinky and give a good high it'll creep up on you though. The Mom is a unknown bag seed I had for who knows how long and she grew a short fat kola, had low odor but did small good a kind of a fuely skunky smell. But since I posted the last post I've been the case and found the other F1 is a male but a strong male, as strong as the female and just as big. I figure I'll use him to pollinate the bag seed females. The F1's will only get the original strain pollen. Anyway I'm germing two more F1's starting with a h2o2 soak before going into the paper towel and I only have six more of the F1 seeds so I hope I can get lucky and come up with a good new strain before I run out of them. I'm also trying to keep some new plants coming into the cases so I'll hopefully have a harvest rollover every other month, but every month would be even better, if I can pull it off. I also had to remove Cousin It as I call the bushy female as I need to move the F1a female in with the F1 female. Cousin It was not a normal plant and sick any how. I don't have alot of room with two pc cases and I can't waste anymore time on a plant that isn't performing. It had very few flowers way less than the other girls that were younger than she before she started to turn yellow. So I cut my losses and moved on to the more healthy and new girls. I have her hanging and drying now. And I still have two full cases. I'll post new pics when I finish the case remodel, it's going slower than I thought it would. But it will be soon. Thanks guys. I made some small changes BC that I think made a big difference. First I switched to the new MG Moisture Control Soil with coco fiber, some new Jiffy pellets, and treating the seeds with h2o2 before germing. I 'll find out if that really is what did it after the two F1 seeds that I put into germination last night. Tonight I'm working on the new light traps for both cases. They aren't very stealthy but I believe they will work, anyway you shouldn't see them in the dark and have no air flow restriction or have any effect on the temps. Since I've removed most of the silver sun shield the temps have been from 80to 82. I didn't need that stuff here in the tropics any how. b00m I glad you think I've got a plan buddy. I think I do, I'm finally starting to get the hang of micro growing. I was out of growing practice for a while before I started again with pc cases out self defence and need. Thanks again for stopping by guys. "Go in a good way my friends"

:)Hey Pinball thanks for the thumbs up my friend. I had to top both of the new F1's as they were getting to far into the lights. I may need to cull out a female that's growing strange it makes two flowers and just grows to the next node to do two more. No buds just a few flowers and no trichs. While the ones in with her are doing nicely. As of today I had a F1seed germ in 24hrs. Damn! And one more that may pop later to day. I may need to remove the F1 male to since I really don't need him. and more young lings coming in. I'm trying to fill up with girls so I can just keep going. And I guess I'm going to start cloning from the new F1 female because shes growing so fast and shoot I could keep going and work with that one girl that way. But things are going good. I should hopefully have photos by Monday of everything. "Go in a good way my friends".

Well as it turns out I still have a F1 that germ'd in 24hrs and is now in a jiffy pellet in soil in the case. The other one has yet to pop but I'm not worried. I never expected one to pop in 24hrs anyway. But now I have another F1 in the towel with it and a P1 and three early F2's. I removed the F1 male since I didn't need it did need the space for the new F1 and the others when they pop. I decided to leave the scrawny bag seed female in since I saw that it is getting more flowers now. I'm almost done with the remodel of the case, I finished the light trap and is working with no noticeable temp change. When I have all the traps done and in I'll post new pics as I promised. For now "Go in a good way"

Hey Ghost, looking forward to seeing some pics of the revamped case. Must be getting crowded in the cases with all the new plants??. Are you trying to grow single budsicle style plants or are you looking at mutiple branches?? My future plants will be small clones burried deep to reduce the heights as much as possible and to aim for single colas similar to "Drbudgreens" method. That way I can fit a couple of plants in together and hopefully get a perpetual grow/harvest going with a harvest every month or so.

Keep up the great work m8 as it all an inspiration to others who see it is all possible to grow in "pc's"

Cheers.

That's pretty much what I'm trying to but a couple of the new girls are growing so fast that had to top them. What I think I do when I can is sea of green at least in one case. I may also take some clones to save time growing also for a perpetual grow. "Go in a good way"

a sog in a pc is a great idea! how many plants you can fit in, is up to you! 5 plants that get say 7-10 grams each (this is just an example) equals 35-50 grams every month or so using 2 pc's..1 for veg and 1 for bloom...great idea Ghost!!
can't wait to see more pics!!!
take care

awesome idea, i would be cloning except my plants are both supposed to be auto flowers, so im just letting them do their thing!

cant wait for a few pictures if u got em.

be well my brother, christoph.

I'm not sure yet, 8 maybe more, because I'm switching to 20oz soda bottles as pots. They are a little taller, more narrow and hold more soil than the foam soup cups I was using so I can put more into a case. But I'm not sure how well it will work doing it that way. I've never tried SOG before. The case will be stuffed! I'm almost done with the case, a new silicone seal and some hood covers on the side intakes. The new light trap looks like it may have raised the temps a couple of degrees from 82 to 84, still I think I'm doing OK. It looks some what industrial but it works and in a dark room you couldn't see it anyway since it sits between the desk and a chest.

Aye BC I'm OK. I've been dealing with some family and personal stuff. That's why I haven't been to active. I should have the case redone and new photos of it and the plants in a day or two, also have some new F1's in the case too. Your drawing is coming along fine and should be done next week. I think your going to like it. I'm usually near a computer if that's what you mean. Most of the time I'm around. You'll here from me soon. "Go in a good way my friend".
