Ah okay, well the way you mentioned it with regards to your previous comment I thought you were saying it was gender related. Not that it makes any difference to me. I took it as you were trying to add strength to your previous comment by suggesting you had a more personal stake in the topic.

First of all the term "The Woke" gets used too loosely to group all that show support for something into one group. Such as in this case it would imply support for people who feel they were born the wrong gender and who then take on the gender they feel they should be aka Trans people. Now of that group that gets labeled under the banner "The Woke", some are people who recognize the right of a person to be whatever they want to be and that they shouldn't be ostracized by society for that choice just because it doesn't fit with how others think things should or shouldn't be. To that crowd woke would be appropriate as they are woke to the needs of certain marginalized groups and recognize that they have the same rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness as everyone else. Also in that group you have other marginalized groups who might support Trans people because they can relate to how it feels to be marginalized for something that doesn't really harm anyone else. I suppose you could say they are "woke" too but it's really more just being empathetic to what it's like to be treated by society as "The others". Then of course you have Trans people themselves who aren't really woke but rather relate directly because they are going thru these struggles and they're just fighting for their right to be who they are. Then you have alledgedly certain fringe groups who supposedly have some ulterior motive for why they want to support such things. I say alledgedly because I personally have never met anyone claiming to be part of such a group with the ulterior motives I've seen described in this thread. Finally you have some on the fringes who are just going along with what seems to be a popular trend, they probably don't have any motive other then fitting in with the positions their peers take.
