yeah for sure.. it's a pretty intimate setting for such a big room.

man it was so cool seeing even behind the stage sold out.. it really felt like the "old days" at MSG.

and to see Phil so happy and emotional.. was just killer!

i wish some of my friends weren't so anti-furthur.. they are really missing out :(

Robert Hunter (lyiicist

Robert Hunter (lyiicist

Around 1962, Hunter was an early volunteer test subject (along with Ken Kesey) for psychedelic chemicals at Stanford University's research covertly sponsored by the CIA in their MKULTRA program.

He was paid to take LSD, psilocybin, and mescaline and report on his experiences, which were creatively formative for him:

"Sit back picture yourself swooping up a shell of purple with foam crests of crystal drops soft nigh they fall unto the sea of morning creep-very-softly mist...and then sort of cascade tinkley-bell like (must I take you by the hand, every so slowly type) and then conglomerate suddenly into a peal of silver vibrant uncomprehendingly, blood singingly, joyously resoundingbells.... By my faith if this be insanity, then for the love of God permit me to remain insane."

The Garland Skeleton & Roses ...

Illustration drawn by Edmund J Sullivan in 1910 for the translation of the Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam by Fitzgerald . Omar was a man .... a poet, thinker ,adviser to the Caliph of Baghdad & lover of truth & science ...one of the great scientist/astronomers of his time , from Arabia...who lived over 1000yrs ago ..

( was not drawn by Stanely Mouse , who is a friend , but made famous)

Into this Universe, and Why not knowing
Nor Whence, like Water willy-nilly flowing;
And out of it, as Wind along the Waste,
I know not Whither, willy-nilly blowing.

XXX.
What, without asking, hither hurried Whence?
And, without asking, Whither hurried hence!
Oh, many a Cup of this forbidden Wine
Must drown the memory of that insolence!

Zoomers always seem to put monsters in my tummy for some reason, but Sid has always been an old friend and I dig squishing mud through my fingers and toes with those girls from Oregon :D

When I first started growing it was at "the cabin", more specifically the "Dentist's cabin". This is from where JG & co got a lot of their herb back then, in the days of fixed-wing aircraft and before camp. We always were invited. The bus shot was prolly early 90's, new bus at the time I think - at French's camp, likely a JGB show. The other from '88 I think had to be one of the "PigNics" at the Hog Farm. These were some magical friggen shows man.

You know when they discovered N20 it was by a group of scientist that just got high for years and years before they got their shit together enough to explore its other uses and actually manage to write it down? It's true. What was that? Gleegleeshnienneb gleegleeshienneb. Wah wah wah wah wah wah wah. Here's to the Hags as well as the Pranksters ;)

THE CITY ...that good 'ol Baghdad by the Bay where she was born!

Very glad that the New Year's traditional gatherings are back on track
& many many more further ahead .

Jerry would love it .... C u there .:greenstars:

PS: Remember going into the first Digger Store when i was a kid , where everything
was --->FREE!! And the 55gal oil drum veggie soups they made & coffee can bread they
used to bring out to the gigs in the parks or over in Berkeley Couldn't be more proud of
the great career that Peter Coyote went on to have in film & documentary narrative
I consider him one of my oldest "older brothers " ....
