You've come far pilgrim (weird) but if the people making seed do not understand what they are/or are not able to promise, then therein lies the problem as far as I can see. You know, like when you say that your X is as good as his Y without understanding the dynamics of it all.
Thats why i said simply that the breeder should set the expectation. You set some serious expectations with serious science but. This is why the Tom Hill brand has power because of the standards you set and the things you do to meet them. Science being your biggest tool at this point of the game, uncontested.
You have to remember that seed buyers are supposed to know less or have less resources, it is one of the reasons they are not self sufficient. Most people don't start off as experts let alone with an aptitude to understand genetics.
Pretend your selling to dumb fucks like me who don't get the genetics talk. The biggest problem everyone has that has criticized me is that they have been educated by you but forget that they didn't start out that way
I am not questioning Tom Hills tech I am questioning your ability to think like you don't know it and cant understand it because that is a good percentage of the customer base buying seed and more so in the future.
If people don't understand what your saying they will go to other breeders REGARDLESS because they can't understand your quality.
That is why I asked you to value it cause it would be easier to say using scientific technique I guarantee x,y & z instead of teaching the science of plant genetics, especially if you print it on a seed pack. It is real hard to replicate a discourse on applied plant breeding concepts used by Tom Hill to every customer you sell seeds to. I don't think putting the information out there will make more informed customers either.
More informed breeders yes, but this thread isn't in the breeders lab and isn't labeled breeding techniques so I do not understand the angst from you and those who respect you since I am on topic.
