I'm not normally affected by language use and really not a member (he said MEMBER, doh!) of the grammar police, but the overuse of the word EPIC by young kids is now bleeding over into the media. Mostly it's because they think it'll up ratings. I guess the media is trying to be "hip" or find common grounds but it's just annoying. The "Iliad" was an epic. A stupid car crash is not.
The word for "cannabis" was bastardized into marijuana. So many words are used incorrectly so come to mean something else than their common usage. It's just my humble opinion here but I find that one particularly annoying. Carry on.
