Most slower burning rifle powder is nitro cellulose.
Just powder dry hemp stalk & boil it in Nitric acid.
That is the basic procedure used by the guy that discovered it.
Had a handkerchief that he boiled in Nitric Acid, then he dried it.
And then he exposed it to a spark.
Not as good as IMR 4350 or 4831 or 7828 though.
