My thinly populated, mostly ‘conservative’ exurban county has nearly 24,000 cases so far...that’s a HUGE chunk of the local population - school-age kids and their parents, mostly, it seems. According to the state, there are only ~250 deaths here...but NO recoveries.

A local has produced statistics that show our school age population has much higher rates of covid than the surrounding state? That's saying something in this ultra conservative state. Most of our neighboring school districts took it much more seriously than our idiot superintendent

White House increases states' weekly vaccine doses to 13.5 million
Jen Psaki announced the Biden administration is increasing the number of coronavirus vaccine doses distributed to states each week.

The administration will now provide states with 13.5 million doses a week, representing a 50% increase since Joe Biden took office on January 20.

Well I found out what the manufacturers delay was all about.
The prescription was for Colyte, a bowel cleanse in preparation for a routine colonoscopy.
When I told the doctor I had to get the $100 more expensive substitute, he knew all about the manufacturer's delay, he said it was because the Colyte contained a protein that was in very short supply right now because it was being used to manufacture the Covid 19 vaccines.
Who knew?

everything is still about the same here as it was months ago....never noticed any unusual at the hospitals then or now, plenty of beds available
masks are not required and even when they were, it was not enforced
