ya just put them in shade under the hps and be patient. some clones from the same plant root faster than others and are stronger. Its all a waiting game.
Remember rockwool cubes hold a lot of water, don't let them get too wet.
that's the EXACT opposite of what ed rosenthal taught us years ago.
care to post the info for this? or where this information came from?
not trying to start an argument, I'm just curious
I'll just have to buy a dome... hahah
On a more somber note... I opened the top of my makeshift chamber only to be greeted with a great whiff of mold. All the cuttings have wilted leaves with nothing growing at the bottom but fungus.
uhhh... didn't you just say that your dome killed everything you had... uhh...gimme a sec... yep, you did, right here. The dome killed you dead, dead, dead, dead, dead.
As you've just learned the hard way, high RH is deadly. 15% RH is more than enough. Toss that lid in the trash and, high RH and death will go with it. Keeping cuts short and well trimmed eliminates the need for domes and their lethal levels of RH.
just goes to show there are many ways to do it -
Hey freezerboy, i don't doubt that you know what your talking about, but my experience a couple of days ago didnt support what your saying. i'm actually doing a little cloning right now with little cloning experience. I made 18 cuttings, dipped in rootech gel and put into rockwool which was soaked with water and europonic rockwool conditioning solution and put them under a dome. They were under the dome for about 24 hours and looked fine. I figured id take the dome of for a little to give them some fresh air. So i took the dome off and left the room. I came back no more than 15 min later and every cutting was completely limp like a wet noodle just slumped over, leaves on the bottom of the tray. I misted them and put the dome back on. Most of them recovered, 2 are still limp and slumped over. I left the dome on for another 4 days, im on day 5-6 now and they seem to be rooting. If i gently tug on the cutting, it doest move from the rockwool, so im guessing roots are starting to take hold. Anyway, just wanted to share my experience of what happened when i took the dome off for 15 min.uhhh... didn't you just say that your dome killed everything you had... uhh...gimme a sec... yep, you did, right here. The dome killed you dead, dead, dead, dead, dead.
