Hey everyone.

Time to actually document a grow!

The seeds are Chimera Calizahr & Federation Romulan.

The medium will be coco, with a bit of perlite.

The nutrients will be the Hesi Coco line (Hesi Coco in veg & flower with Hesi PK 13/14 for flower, SuperVit, and occasional PowerZyme) with a little CalMag+ (like 2.5ml/gal), Liquid Karma, molasses (occasionally in veg, all feedings in flower except flush), and KoolBloom.

Germination & seedling growth will be under 2 24w t5 fluorescents, veg will be under 124 watt CFL reflector, and flowering will be under 1000w HPS.

Starting this thread at pre-germination.

April 30th 4:00pm - 6 Calizahr and 6 Romulan seeds placed into water w/ .6 tsp/gal Liquid Karma for a 24 hour soak.

Anyone with advice or thoughts on these strains, nutes, life in general, whatever - please stop in! :smoke:

3:00am May 2nd - Placed seeds into cups of coco.

All 6 of the Calizahr seeds had popped from their 30 hour soak. None of the Romulan seeds popped, but it isn't to be expected, just a nice treat when they do.

Romulan will likely be a couple days behind the Calizahr as a result, but who knows.

Anyways..

I'll pull up a chair for this one. It has been forever since I've seen Romulan.

Word.. Thanks for stopping in. Hopefully I will do these right and have something worthy of the Romulan you've seen in the past.

cooool man...ive never seen calizahr grown out.. lookin forward to it!!

There's a few grows around, they mention a lovely sounding bubblegum-orange pheno, so I'll be hoping for that to make an appearance. Thanks for stopping by as well!

3:00pm May 4th - 10/12 seeds are now seedlings! 6/6 Calizahr and 4/6 Romulan.

I'm impatient, so I checked the remaining 2 seeds.. One had not cracked, so I cracked it in my teeth gently and replanted.. Prolly not meant to be.

The other had popped out a taproot, but didn't do anything beyond that.. I find plants which do that are usually punks in the end, even if you coax them into getting their life started, so that one is prolly not meant to be either.

10/12 is fine though.. Exactly why I plant 12 seeds when I really want 10 seedlings.

May 9th - 10 seedlings, all looking quite healthy. Looks like it will be 6 Calizahr & 4 Romulan for this round.

Here's a tribute to the Nirvana K2 I finished recently.. These were Hydrohut survivors that had been traumatized no less, and still produced some gorgeous smoke, so I'm pretty happy :joint:

May 20th.. Transplanted into 1 gallon pots/bags.

Here's some baby "root porn" hehe

Here's the bunch immediately after transplant.. Heh one of the Romulan plants doesn't look so happy, but other than that, the rest took it pretty much unphased. The one in the back is a random tree I'm growing and the one in the bottom right corner is a hashberry clone, in case anybody is wondering who the friends are :0]

No worries so far :rasta:

And here's some Hashberry I am finishing up.. It is going purple at the top of the swollen flowers, which is a pleasant surprise.

I already chopped a faster pheno and it is excellent smoke. Not a head-banger, but nice body effect and very relaxing.. Basically how Mandala describes it.

looking good mrBongjangles. That hashberry looks the bomb. Ive got some SADHU sitting in the waiting room. Ive been hearing a lot of good things about mandala genetics lately. may have to give her a try.
I did take a clone off of the one female calizahr i had and she seems to be doing good but no roots yet. I have been having a serious dilemma with cloneing lately.arggg ,All in stride i guess

How long you going to veg those CZ and roms for? Im getting anxious on the flower pics haha lol

Thanks HT!

I will veg them for a month I think, starting from when I transplanted them to the 1 gallon bags/pots, so won't be more than another few weeks or so.

Good luck with your cloning dilemma there as well. I had some trouble cloning the Hashberry plants myself, took like 10 from a few plants and 1 survived. I was trying cups of coco for the first time, and obviously messed it up somehow. I have had near 100% success with rockwool and rapid rooters over the past few years for cloning though. That and "Roottech" gel, but I think they are all the same really, mine has just lasted a few years so have not tried others. Heh maybe it is too old and that is why my latest batch went horribly. Like you said my friend, all in stride :smoker:
