How do you avoid overwatering in your container Blynx? Do you mind detailing your current soil make up? It seems to work well.

I water when the container starts feeling light compared to what it feels like when it's fully watered. I usually give it 32-64 oz of water every couple days during flowering. If I remember, I might add some Age Old Bloom once early in flowering.

-=-=-

Soil is a 50-50 mix (new-used).

The new soil is a 3:1:1 mix of Promix:perlite:earthworm castings. I sprinkle some Earth Juice Rooter's Mycorrhizae into this soil. I have a rubbermaid tub with 'new soil' in it.

Old soil is soil that has had a plant run in it. I run the rootball through 1/2" hardware cloth screen to break of the soil/roots. I add some Biotone and let it sit until use. I have a second rubbermaid tub with 'old soil' in it.

I have a third rubbermaid tub that I make the '50-50 mix' in.

Rooted cuts are put into 3" container with 'new soil'.

Those cuts are transplanted to 6" containers that have the '50-50 mix' in it.

When I am ready to flower a plant, the 6" containers are transplanted to a larger container that has the '50-50 mix' in it.

When transplanting, I add the soil, sprinkle in some Rooter's Mycorrhizae and then put the plant into the soil, cover rootball and then water.

When I transplant (clone to soil or up-potting older plants) I add some liquid kelp to the water for their initial watering.

It sounds so simple doing a water only grow. Do you have to adjust your waters ph at all?

For the 3 tubs of soil i assume you keep them moist when not in use to allow the beneficials bacteria/fungi happy.

I use water straight from the tap.

I don't add any moisture to the tubs, whatever is there is there.

The earthworm castings add some moisture to the 'new soil'. The 'old soil' is usually moist since I don't let a flowering plant's container totally dry out.

I'm wanting to go back to soil grows after some years
in coco hempy.

I'll feather in, some soil pots to test to get a rhythm,
32oz pots for space and numbers.

Looks like you have no holes for drain, I wonder.

Excited to return to soil, wish me luck!

Correct, no drain holes in the rectangular tub I use in the micro cabs.

Good luck with your return to soil, looking forward to hearing/seeing your results.

I love the way you propped up those heavy buds! One day I will have a nice even canopy like that. :good:

Thanks. There was some major drooping going on so I raised some parts back up to even her out.

Nice Blynx.
Buds seems to br further away from the bulbs than usual. Looking forward to see if they yield the same.

I am keeping the canopy a bit farther from the lights than usual. When they are up close they seem to have a short window where the buds are 'ready'. After that time, I start to see white hairs growing out of the finished buds. I want to see if lowering the canopy from the lights will either prevent that or extend that window.
