Yep, I just crushed the stems and bent them over.

How do you like bending / snapping versus tying them down? More or less manageable / expected growth pattern?

It depends on the strain, plant age and objective lol, but mostly I crush/bend.

The tying down I do is usually for initial training to lay a foundation for how I see a plant growing in a cab. The crushing/bending is then used to fill in the canopy to try to make that vision happen.
