Shit!

That is a big gal, CF.

I am going to have to get me some Ultra Sonja, as to fill out my collection.

Was Steele working with Sourbubble awhile ago? Or am I mixed up?

CF, post 37 pics are beautiful, looks like tha girl is being fed pretty heavy. Thanks fer fielding Medical Breeder's question. Tha Ultra Sonja looks pretty stanky buddy, nice work.

Bobby, happy to hear tha US piqued yer interest. I'm sure you'll love tha Cheesy funk and head. Regarding tha SB, I'm working on tha DMT stabilization project. A superior pheno that will be easier to find in a pack .....

Looks good.

The trich production on those are insane. I have 4 in water farms, about a week behind yours.

I flowered at about a foot tall, and the are only about two and a half feet. My sativa pheno Blue Sonja tripled in size.

A question for Steele

A question for Steele

Hey guys. I'm pleased you're enjoying the show ;)

You're probably running a later version of Blue Sonja Bobby, thinking back I don't recally seeing anything really stretchy in the early BS grow reports. I'm glad these aren't, a nice keeper will do well in my Dr.Bud run, coming up...

hi rounders, glad to see you still around bro'

My question for the Savage One....

hi Steele, lovin the looks of these gals, as stated trich production is pleasing ;)

I have made a few mistakes in my choices of keepers lately, and my relative newbiness with growing out clones makes it harder to make a decision.

I understand the clone form of the plant can vary greatly from the seed-grown parent.

Does this mean a gal like #3 above, with insane trich production but smallish yield might grow better from clone? I mean, if the yield were better she'd be the one I'd be looking at. I can't really justify small yielding plants in my cab, just not enough room.

I tend to decide on keeper like this...

- biggest yield
- best trich production
- best smoke
- best leaf to calyx ratio

These tend to be my deciding factors, and I try to maximise on each.

Flushed the ultra sonja yesterday ;)

Hey CF, hope your girls are doin well.

What day are they at. I have some around the halfway mark... We might share a same strain same harvest day....

Corn, Sonja actually stretches a good amount, with shorter, more squat phenos showing up with typically less frequency. Regarding yer question, I myself agree that a plant must yield somethang fer it to be worth keeping, fuck a shit plant with no yield..... That said, you need to keep copies of all plants, grow them out and then check they're true architecture. Tha type of high generally does not change from seed mother to clone counter part, so separating each plant and doin tha smoke test is tha only way to really decide who tha keeper plant is..... Once you have those factors are nailed down, you can make yer educated decision. Trich production, being used as a criteria for selecting keepers may be flawed, beings as some strains may carry ample crystal coverage but nary a buzz, and vise versa.

Hella, I too am excited to see tha end product. Sonja's fans are known to just weigh in trichs. Many times we just cut tha leaf ends off and then tha rest goes into tha hash bags. Mad sift from tha Sonja....

Bobby, nice work on yer own crops.

Corn, you've done a helluva job with 'em, damn near time to bring 'em home buddy.....
Be well y'all,
Steele

A couple dried nug shots

Sorry guys for lack of updates, as we all know life intervenes and changes plans rather mercilessly.

I enjoy the Blue, it isn't as strong as the Ultra and is a little more couchlocky so I'm enjoying at night rather than daytime.

Re-vegged 3 of these gals so we'll run em doc bud-style and see if we can find a single keeper ;)

Thanks for the seeds Steele, you're a nice bloke ;)
