Currencies shouldn't be such a gamble. Users of said currency shouldn't be at risk of losing over 50% of their wealth while waiting or in the process of making a transaction.

Unfortunately fiat has the same problems.

this is supposed to be currency???

this is why BIT COIN is a such a joke...

If currency was this VOLATILE....whom ever held the currency would loose FAITH in it... because in the end that's all currency is...FAITH

and if you don't believe that the coin or Benji or bill or or BAR of gold, or whatever you want to use to buy and sell goods with...IT MUST BE STABLE

in order to be currency...otherwise what;s the point...you might as well go to Vegas

No commodity or currency or anything traded on the world markets...is this volatile...wouldn't touch with a ten foot pole

imagine if pot prices went up and down like Bitcoins...

bought @ $90, sold @ $223 after theyd dropped from $265 this morning, then bought more a few hours later @ $130, currently back @ $173, sold again. Happy morning :)

It was thanks to my monitoring program that alerted me with a .wav while I was asleep or I would've missed the boat, so I only got about 2hrs sleep but i'm happy! I'll have sweet dreams later lol

Here's it's output every 5 mins (data from mtgox) from the past 16 or so volatile hours ...
