There is a market price. Your price to set a tub is probably very close to your competition. That’s not price fixing.

Market price is generally a fare rate, now if all plumbing contractors got together in a city and said all water heater jobs cost say 5k for installing a standard 40 gallon that would be price fixing and if you get caught you are in trouble.
It’s always been what the market will bear. The pharmaceuticals have less competition, that’s all. What they have is proprietary.
They’re not allowed to price fix, nor is it in their interest. They’re just able to charge large sums.
I personally would like to see medical research returned to the universities with the universities being the beneficiaries. The public would benefit. Of course that’s socialism and government control. We don’t trust that so we’ll just keep bending over in the name of freedom.

In the USA, consumers PAY for those commercials on TV, magazines, etc, the cost passed on to the consumer. Grrr! Another reason name brand costs more than generics.
The REST of the world uses generics, cost is minimal except for a few diabetic/cancer Rx.

Proving price fixing in a courtroom is difficult. Companies would simply pay a fine and avoid the courts. Happens all of the time when companies get into trouble. Also, as has been stated, there’s not really a lot of competition in pharmaceuticals. Patents keep competition away and assures a monopoly.
While i am personally against the government fixing prices, the government does fix prices (CMS reimbursements) for virtually in everything in healthcare except medications. Insurance companies in turn follow the lead of CMS.

I think it's related to him being a leader of an organization that promotes women's Choice re. their right to terminate a pregnancy/ murder a fetus.
I think one thing the Dem party "suffers from" is that abortion is treated as casual.
It's a dead fucking serious choice.

I doubt anyone would regard abortion casually.
You can find plenty of Democrats who feel that it's a serious decision... but still wish to allow freedom to choose it.

I agree but... not when used as a form of birth control. There's other methods of contraception!
