Most rock music rythym is not that complicated. But when you have a lead guitar like Mike Cambell (who doesn't really play cords when the light is shining on him) it is very complicted.

Dont get me wrong as I like a good band that has simple beginnings but not much draw to any band that makes a 30+ year history of nothing but simple-rock. Ive seen Petty in concert once and while it wasnt a bad time I probably would not pay to see him again.. along with George Thorogood, The Rolling Stones and a few other bands where I know it wouldnt be anything but a repeat performance from what I saw before.
