BANGI Suggestions?

Hello IC!

I'm starting from SCRATCH. I want to setup an indoor system, focused on growing BANGI! I know tons about lights etc etc...I'm going with CHM (new ones CDM?)

What i would like suggestions on is grow style. I ask here because
this system will be based on growing BANGI the fastest way i can in little space. Best yields....

I would also love suggestions on growing BANGI in SOG. How would you go about it! Toping style etc etc Thanks ALL!

4 x 4 = 815watt CDM

Bangi beeing a pure sativa should have no problem with pruning, if you choose to top them, or LST in case you go SCROG, if you want to go SOG, flower clones directly with no veg time, in more or less 1 gallon pots, triming all larf and side branches, place pots all close toguether, and have fun!

Yes, i will prob. go SCROG on them.

Maybe: HP Aero-Canna nute' system-800+watt Allstart CDM

This sound like a soild plan?:

1: Pop seeds
2: Grow until i can get a clone Veg moms
3: Root clones
4: Grow out clones in Aero

Or should i take clones, put clones into veg, and finish moms?

Thanks

I prefer to flower clones out, I only flowe the mothear after years .... But thats just me clones grow out all eaven and mothers after so many cuttings flower shooting branches in all directions...

Thank you.

Anyone want to throw a guess on yield?

4 weeks in veg, air-pots 1 gallon, SCOG, 800 watts over 4x4 (CMH)

I want to do a perpetual, my goal is 2 oz a week. Trying to get a feel for numbers to achieve that.

Hello, I've been growing bangi haze for some time now and it scrogs *really* well. My chosen pheno is really branchy and has very stringy stalks that are easy to bend and manipulate without breaking.

I use VerdantGreen's modular scrog style I discovered here, you can find it if you search, the scrog screen is attached to the pots so you can easily move them around etc.

I use a high power LED light and get pretty decent results, with that light you should see excellent results.

Just don't let it go too long, that's the biggest mistake most people make with Sativas in my opinion. Sample it early starting at week 6 and sample each week after.

My pheno is peak powerful at 6 weeks from the moment I flip to 12/12. I've tried it as long as 12 weeks and in all cases it started to suck after 7 weeks and just get worse every week after.

I look for 50% dead hairs and the very first sign of going from crystal clear resin glands to slightly hazy ones.

Also with respect, you should not even remotely be considering yields yet, it will take you probably at least 5 grow cycles to even get close to dialing it in if you have a good base of experience growing sativas with the equipment you indicated. I used to think like that and it was a recipe for failure, you really do have to "listen" to the plant and experiment to get the best.

Thanks, good info!

I really like the scorg method. Not sure about the 6 week finish possibility, but i get the point, and will watch them close.

Welcome SwamiMon,

Bangi Haze is a short flowering sativa hybrid, very suitable for SOG in small spaces. It reaches maturity quickly, faster than other more tropical profile strains. You can flower Bangi Haze from seed and reach their full potential without the need to wait for clones.

6 week is too early to harvest any cannabis strain, Bangi Haze needs at least 8 weeks to develop more aromas, resin and potency but the harvest moment it's just a personal preference. Hope it helps!

if you go SOG in 1 gallon airpots 800W, I´d say you would harvest at least 20grams of dried trimmed bud per plant..... if you get anything under 10-15grams p/ plant, you are doing something wrong....

ps... if are thinking of sativa cultivar, your expectations should be 10-12 weeks of flower AT LEAST ..... if you want faster finishing girls, you should really be looking into indica variaties!

Thanks for the info. I will just grow a few out and chop a bud at 7/8/9
weeks off each plant, cure and test.

As of right now, the plan:

2 plants in 5 gallon Air pot, Organic Soil
1 815 watt CMH (CDM)
SCORG
1 mom plant
4 plants in veg,
Big plants low numbers.

Thanks, i think i'm going to go 2 big plants in a SCROG. Prob. something around 5 gallons.

yeah, my new growroom is almost ready, its 60cm deep and about 150 wide, i´d say maybe 180 height ..... and i´m probably gonna go with 6 or 8 ... 2 galon buckets and SCROG it under 600W

Dubi,
are you suggesting that Bangi does well when going directly to 12/12 from seed with no vegetation time at all?

Hi vajra,

There's no need to flower Bangi Haze straight 12 /12 from seed, it's quite manageable in size and flowering time ... we would recommend to veg them for at least 20 days from seed, the seedlings will be enough mature to produce better yields and higher quality flowers.
