Hey everyone ive been a long time lurker and have a question i cant seem find a straight forward answer for.

Would growing autoflowers under 24 hours of light and irregular dark periods like 4-6 hours every 48-72 hours just to give the lights a break have any negative effects on a plant?

-Thanks allot

No. However, all living things need a rest.

Set lights @ 18/6 the whole way through, use low stress training, watch for bugs, nutes, pH....you'll have it made in the shade!!! Did that for photos 30 some years....and autos....starting year 7......

Some will argue 24 hrs straight. Waste of energy and electricity.

I don't think irregular dark periods would be beneficial. True autoflowers don't need a dark period. We've grown two crops of autoflowers & the light just stayed on the whole time. Worked great.
