love the 1o gal trees...teehee...

watering/feeding...
1/5 volume of container per 48hrs.
full strength ferts, 5.0-5.5 input ph...

the key w/ trees in large containers is vegging/waiting until roots come out of the container before flowering, to get max potential plant mass. veg until roots come out of bottom, then flower. preferably under same, full lyghts as use for full bloom...

in imagination, start in 1/2 liter, veg in 5 gal for 8wks (>1ks), then veg 2-3 more wks under 1ks. by then pl@nt is 3x3-4x4, roots fully colonized in container & exploring outside of container. tyme to start bloom...

as for syze of container being too much, etc, if really desire trees, they like the larger containers. requires longer to get plant 4x4x4, but by finish, that 1 plant is 6x6x6+... can do multiple harvests from same 1 plant... @ 60 days, take tops, @ 70, take secondary nodes that have had wk of being tops. @ 75 take remainder of popcorn that becomes solid & fully developed...

if have room & quality genetics, maybe even reduce pl@nt #'s to 2-4... found that less pl@nts in same area fill out entire space. w/ thinning, training & pruning - & mono-cropping, can get same amount of fruit w/ 4 plants as w/ 8 plants, if veg in larger containers & wait until plant 4x4x4 before start flower...

for watering, etc, 1/5 volume of container every 48hrs seem to supply all needs.

something like:

8*10=80 total gallon capacity (liquid)

80/5=16 gallons per 48hrs

=8 gals per day input...
=1 gal per plant per day, min...

can adjust +/- from that point, if the plant uses more/less resources... vpd (rh) affects how much water is used as well. ideally, plant should transpire 4/5 of input water per 24hrs.... so, if give 8 gals of nutrient solution, ~6 gals of water dehumidified per 24 hrs. that is good method of determining if water is cycling thru plants. if >than 4-5 gals is being dehumidified, then may have issues in garden, maybe... as 90% of water supplied to plants goes up thru xylem & out thru leaves in 24hrs... 5% is nutrients used by plant, other 5% seems to go into & stay in plant (pl@nt mass increase) - but most is cycled thru plant & goes out into surrounding atmosphere. if not removed (dehuey) may affect how much water is used by plant. higher rh decreases water usage, as plant senses actual weight of atmospheric water on leaf & makes harder for internal water to push out...

that amount should provide adequate run-off, w/out wasting too much nutes, or water...
either feeding 16 gals every 2 dyas, or 8 gals every day - total, should be work well. same formula for any container syze... 1/5 volume of container/48hrs...
next run, maybe even try >pl@nts... maybe just 4 or so. w/ veg under same lyghts, & thinning/training/pruning, maybe get same fruits count as 8 espcially if run same cultivar over/over/over & kno what it likey...
:2cents:

fwiw, 50/50-25/75 coco/perlyte, 10+ gal diy containers, bare bulb 1ks... 1-4 planty per lyght (depend on cut).

this may be helpful:

Is there a standard water ratio for pot size on a drip system ?

enjoy your garden!

mistress always goes into threads and says the same shit...talking about 10 week veg times and 1 plant per 1k...Sounds very inefficient... I'm beginning to wonder if some of the people on this site even grow weed LOL.

4 5 gallons should be plenty for a 1k. I've found that it's best to properly size the containers for the plants instead of going too big so that they can dry out faster between waterings and allow for more feedings in a flower cycle which can ultimately mean more yields per plant as long as there is still sufficient rootspace for growth throughout flower. I've grown some 6oz+ plants in 5 gallon pots and they weren't rootbound at the end of flower so this leads me to believe that 8oz+ plants are highly possible in 5 gallon pots.
