Anyone ever been busted for posting stuff on the internet?

I've been lurking round icmag for years and posted the odd post here and there but I'm still insanely paranoid about actually posting grows and cabs and the like.

This is the most awesome resource available and I'd love to brag/ask questions with the rest of them.

Has anyone ever actually been busted or had their posts used against them in anyway whatsoever, or am I just smoking the wrong weed and over-thinking it?

-moderators, if I'm in the wrong forum just shift me, this is all I know

When i started i thought about paying for a subscription to an anonymous proxy server and everything.... in reality your isp has to send every page, image, video that you see, so they know what you are looking at. I think they can legally keep this information for 80 days? Either way, i've posted on growing forums for years (including pics) and never heard of anyone getting caught that way. I hear of more people getting letters in the post from their isp for downloading films off the internet.

Probably a bit of a FLIR topic, to be honest.

I was investigated for posting kitty porn a couple years back - the really hardcore stuff:

Revenge of Morris by Clawed Balls was the one that drew the most attention.

Well number one I don't trust the police/feds/USA/or anyone who thinks that what I'm doing is wrong.. I absolutely believe they read these posts and if they could they would use them against you. Look what the feds just did with this whole DNS server taking over the whole net. I'm not happy that whatever site I go to they take my info down then send it to my email. I'm also not happy that my gmail is read by the Gov. So that being said there is NO PRIVACY on the net and hacking is a popular thing.. headband 707

I always thought Lougrow was busted in part because of pics he posted. I could be wrong though...

If you use a cell/mobile phone to shoot pics of your buds. One thing to consider is the EXIF info stored by the phone camera, specifically the geotagging. Depending on your phone type, either turn geotagging off in the settings or use one of the free utils to remove EXIT info from your pics, before posting them.

Gmail has to be the worst email you can have. Google copies all content from both you and whomever you send email to and makes a database and profile about you. Also if you use google as a search engine, same thing. They are building a profile of you based on all of your internet searches and traffic. Use startpage.com instead people.

Yeah man I felt the same thing about Lou...and it was about 6 months after he sent me a bunch of f4's.Lou LOVED his G13Haze. Cops suck..

And it didnt have NOTHING to do with hig HUGE backyard sog garden..with ALOT of plants?....in plain view of anyone?....

I believe Lougrow was too cocky..in this day and age,with so many nosy pricks everywhere..you gotta be careful with what you say,let alone do...and having a shit load on marijuana plants in plain view in the backyard is bound to get some attnetion..

BUT...maybe someone has more information why he was busted..he was pretty notorious for his huge backyard grows though..:tumbleweed:

from what I heard, lou got busted after a certain magazine (not ic) published his garden and an interview with him...
