Three things........
1. :respect: I love this design for vert  I'm imagining HGO style plants in a kiddie pool ppk

2. Lower your flood pipes closer to the media (i.e 1-2" above). The waterfall action will damage roots in that area of the ppk.

3. You are using a media with almost no capacity to hold water (similar to hydrotron), so regular flooding is going to be required to keep PH and EC stable (as water evaporates EC rises and PH drops) D9 is flooding every 90 mins 24/7, this is where i'd recommend you start tweaking from also. He is rooting clones directly into the ppk with this same flood cycle, which leads me to believe it's maintaining fairly ideal root parameters .

1) were on the same page, see the same thang...

2) Waterfalls for effect.(visual) .lol.
1"-2“ ,sounds good to me...

3) Thank you for the 411.. Funny how I forget the little stuff(water) lol
You saved me a minute of searching for this. ..
Every 90 minute's I can do. ..

Rock on Mr. D ... Always helpful info...

:smoke out:

Going to try and get the BH ladies in tonight after work.
The are to big for the CFLs and are starting to suffer ..
Time is of the essence ...

Well before the ladies go for a swim I have to clean the pool..

Turns out this is a great way to clean and reuse my Turface mix...

I took out a ton of perlite then added more Turface mix and stirred things up.

This mixing caused everything to separate with the GOLD(Turface)
sinking to the bottom with a layer of coco then perlite then fine root.

Which worked out awesome as I strained the floating perlite off the water then once drained I scraped the junk off the turface...

This worked great...

This was just a pocket and the coco was no where near as bad as this looks...lol

At the same time im trying out a couple different heads for the manifolds...

Im leaning towards the split farthest away...

OK...

Prep work is done.....

I dig CFLs...lol

These ladies are going to go big....
Wishing they were about 1/2 this size when placed.
Meaning more time in Vegging to this size then flipped.

As it stands im shooting for 5-7 days Veg then flip...
Im running the 600 at 50% for a day then 75% for a couple
day into 100% a couple and flip...

Ive read something about the ladies not like the transition from CFL to HPS....

Figure Id give it a try ....

Looks like the smaller pots worked great in that each plant ended up with a nice flat wide root system that should just go crazy in the pool and provided great stability to boot... Nice....
