Thank you all for your warm and kind words :) It's much appreciated!

There's very little Purple Haze x Malawi fem stock left, if you are interested i wouldn't delay much to get her or you will miss the chance to enjoy her outdoors this season. The good news: we are on the process to produce haze x malawi standard seeds, the same purple haze 23 and my favourite green haze 19 are being pollinated by malawi males (from the more purple malawi expressions), hopefully the stock will be ready for the second half of the year.

And about the Zamal Hash, this also a very limited edition and a joint project with a local grower who contributed with the hashplant 90s clone and with the reproduction and testing of the hybrid.

It's always interesting to try both ways in this kind of feminized F1 hybrids:
Mother A pollinated by Mother B (reversed)
and Mother B pollinated by Mother A (reversed)

then grow the offsprings of both lines together in the same cycle and same growing conditions to study the differences. It's very interesting to see how the outcome is different despite in both cases the parental plants are the same.

This is what we did with Zamal Hash: Zamal pollinated by reversed Hashplant and the opposite, Hashplant pollinated by Zamal reversed.

Both lines were grown at the same time in the same indoor setup. Usually breeders like DJ recommend to pollinate the sativa with indica pollen to produce the most desirable sativa/indica outcome, but both ways must be tried to know for sure what is the best combination and how the different traits are dominant/recessive in each case.

The Zamal x Hashplant (reversed) F1 produced a very uniform and early flowering (9 weeks) population, high resin production, compact structure very suitable for indoors, nice solid flowers of medium size with a skunk hashy afghani aroma.

The Hashplant x Zamal (reversed) F1 produced a not so much uniform population with longer flowering time (10-11 weeks), but the vigour, yield, quality of the aromas, potency and complexity are much better in the second case.

Zamal x Hashplant is more like a generic skunky sativa/indica type, still very interesting and enjoyable, more predictable and early flowering, but the fire was in the other one.

Hashplant x Zamal was finally better yielding, with huge voluminous sativa type flowers but hard like an indica. And what is more important, the quality of the flowers is superior: the high is outstanding powerful and complex, far to be generic, with a complex african floral bouquet mixed with the a very refined deep musky afghani aroma that reminds me the best black dominas.

The Zamal Hash released and available at the moment is the second batch: Hashplant x Zamal. You will know the afghani is the mum: the seeds are huge and fatty like pure afghanis.

Dubi, your posts make me want all the things! My limited space means I still have to get to my KaliChina x OE, red pheno Panamas, crosses I've made playing around, etc, etc... Why do you do this to me!?

I've got seedlings that just hit vegetative growth of the purple Malawi fems, a couple of the PCK x OE fems a couple weeks ahead of that and a few Congos which are just hitting their stride in veg. I'm trying to keep up!

Hashplant x Zamal sounds like a good time and probably would work as an excellent source for concentrates / edibles.

Fatty Bubba is going to be ridiculous, OE is going to make that line stack like crazy.

Glad to see there's a bunch of cool stuff on the horizon from Ace!

Thanx dubi for details on ZamalHash, the description just made my choice easier, so I placed an order for this strain:)
At least one bean going outdoors, saving the others for eventual experiments.

Hello dubi, I checked the site and the English Rotten Panda description differs from the one you have here. Flowering time is longer and text under STRUCTURE and BOUQUET is the same. The description here on icmag is the correct one, right? I'm ordering that and Zamal Hash right now :)

Hey dubi, I recently got a pack of your Violeta. I'm going to pop them ASAP and get them going. I was wondering if you could provide a description of the strain including its growth characteristics, pheno variability, and the high. Are they intended to be a permanent addition to your catalog, or is it just going to be a limited edition? I'll probably be keeping a photo log of them here once they get going!

Thanks!

Got a three pack of Zamal Hash. Planted one and its popped in a couple days. Likewise two for two on some more Purple Haze x Malawi...those along with two for two of some killer Malawi S1's and I'm going to have a garden full of Ace gear by late summer.
