looks like no tent and light today...it's like fedex is super busy this time of year or something...

sheesh, you would think when you ordered something online during the busiest online shopping time of the year it would get here quicker!

I don't know I just ordered some bugs and they got here early this morning. And I ordered them yesterday. I got some rove beetles to eat fungus gnats.

This Orange Cookies is looking sweet. This is Orange Juice x GSC from Franchise. I was very disappointed to hear that many found hermies in these seeds. These are the same seeds Sunny D was found in.. I hope I wont be another one to get all hermies.

Where did you order the bugs from Ich? You going to try keeping a colony of them beetles around?

I got them from these guys:

Yes I am. It looks really easy to keep a breeder around so why not.

Here is a good link on how to do that:

I showed my breeder in my LED Vert Scrog thread today.

What do they do when they run out of stuff to eat?

They starve to death. SO you feed them chicken crumbles, oatmeal, or trout food. I have chicken so that is not a big deal for me. Plus a 50 pound bag of chicken feed is $12. And I am sure it will still be feeding rove beetles when my great grand kids inherit the breeder.

If had them pretty bad before from a batch of Happy Frog. I broke up mosquito dunks and tilled it into the top inch or so. What didn't die got sticky trapped. Every once in a while I'll see one or two, and I won't water that day. They usually move on.

Yeah, drying out coco is not great for the plants either. If I skip a day with these small containers, they are visibly pissed the next day.

Anytime I see a gnat I add a squirt of this the next time I water. Works better than mosquito dunks. If I water every plant with it over the course of a few days it will be months before I see another gnat.
