A 'clearing out my fridge' grow

Sup Killerweed & GM... U find me in a happy mood today lads... for I have nearly cracked the gpw mark :woohoo: :dance013::party:

I still have about 4 of the seedplants to come down and 1 cheese... so far I have 2238gs and I'm pretty confident that the last few will bump that up to either 2400 or real close to it!

I'm ecstatic, first time I have got anywhere near it and I can see so many tweaks that could have been made to this grow that I can see further room for improvement! It's been a good grow with cool peeps posting... I :thank you: guys for following. Forgive me if it sounds like I am receiving my oscar, lol :D but I been trying to crack the magic no. for a while now and was wondering if I'd ever do it...

First taste tests on all group's (control, BC, M&P) make it pretty hard to pick a winner, but my misses is assuring me that she prefers the M&P at this point.... I'm not too sure though as I am diggin the BC stuff.... What I can say is that the BC group and M&P group tasted better a lot quicker than the control group this I am sure of!

I smoked a lil too much of all groups on one day to make a real call on it so I intend to devote a day to each group and then give my findings on taste, high and appearance... expect the final result of the test this weekend at the latest.

BTW not only did I nearly hit the magic no. with the bud... the bubble hash is fuckin sublime! I kid u not... Dark chocolate brown and lush... A big handful of trim returned 2g's after 4 x 3 min runs in the bubbleator with no significant drop in quality or appearance....
Sampled some like 7 hours after making it and taste was already real good, was buzzing hard for 15-30 mins before relaxing into my comfy chair u guys seen the plants pictured on in the thread

Good times!

wow 1 gpw, with a elite clone run, no less. that's fantastic, deffinetly takes doing things right to get that result. congrats on achieving your goal, getting that gpw number cracked is so satisfying. great job once again.

Hey thanks eddie, much appreciated mate... I been smoking some of that finger/scissor hash today and its straight killer, much better after a week. The bubble on the other hand is tasting and smelling just like the bud smoking pretty good for only 24hrs drying.

Hey GM, I'm not too sure it's the actual cheese cut but it's bloody good never the less :joint: and the yield is very respectable as you say. Got the cheesey taste right down to teh last pull of the joint, which is always nice... a lot of other stuff will not taste as good as the first few drags of the joint by the time you've smoked 1/2 - 3/4 of it.

eddie the og kush x og kush I'm running are the last 4 seedplants so I'm not surer about dry numbers, but one is a definite big yielder that has beat out AK47 for cola size and that's supposed to yield well right? I know original OG Kush cuts can be low yielders but the S1's seem to be a bit better.

Edit>>

Hey GM forgot to answer u about next run... I think this lot will sort me out for quite some time, but I will be popping the some pips soon to look for another keeper as this cheese is staying around for a while and so will at least 1 of the seedplants if I can reveg it.

I'll be popping...

Sour diesel x Hindu Kush
Chocolope x G13Haze
Rene (aka highend) x The White
and Strawberry Cheesel :canabis:

That run should be fun!

Cheerz John,

well fell short slightly by a few g's but nice result none the less...

The trial between m&p/ BC & the control has thrown up some results finally :D

My findings conclude that Bud Candy has the most frosty buds, that finished a few days before the rest. The weight was best on the m&p tray, but this was somewhat marginal (17g's- 20g's) and could be down to other factors like oscillating fan placement, position under light etc. The control group had the largest yielding plant but that was to be expected due to the numbers in that group compared to the m&p and bc groups.

The other thing was the BC buds were a shade lighter, very slightly although noticeable all the same, over the control and m&p groups. The buds were a little less dense than the m&p group also.

Smoking wise the bud candy group budz are more sweet and tasted better quicker than any other group, I mean they were tasting spot on 2 days before the m&p and about 3-4 before the control group. Thing is the m&p group buds smoke the strongest! They don't have the overly sweet taste from like the BC buds they're more raw cheese...

So the bud candy group has the sweetest, best looking pot albeit with a slight loss in density over the m&p although firmer than the control group budz.

The m&p group has the densest nugs, still very frosty and exhibits a the cheese bouquet without sweet undertones the BC bud carries.

Control budz are lovely tbh, nice taste, smell and appearance.... If I didn't have the other 2 groups to compare against I would really pleased with how they came out. Plan on using this nutrient schedule again with the addition of the m&p or bc depending which I end up liking most... Still undecided as each product has had a slight effect on taste & appearance more than anything else IMO. Although it's kinda hard to say one is preferable
over the other really...

My misses still like the full on cheesey'ness from the m&p buds, while I am digging both groups and their results.

Not the best of conclusions, but my observations never the less... Hope they are of some use to someone out there.... I think the bottom line here is CARBS WORK! :joint:

few shots, sorry not the best pictures but should get an idea for what I have described :)

Heres some Killer OG kush :joint: This stuff is top shelf and very Sour Diesel'esque which was a very pleasant surprise. Other pheno's are more skunky and I am happy to say lemony :D:joint: lol!

Really useful thread mate. I`ve just tried Molasses as you know, the results are plain to see when compared to tent grows run elsewhere without Molasses.

smoke tests to come, but early test buds are showing great promise.

I started feeding them molasses at around week 4 into 12/12 every 2-4 days, whereas my next grow will get it from the off this time. In fact they`ve already had light doses as clones, next will be trichoderma assisted by a low dose of molasses. I`d like to run my own comparison between Canna Boost and Molasses, but f*ck that at the crazy price it comes to us at.

I`m toying with Air-pots and Blumat gravity drippers, keeping the moisture at a constant level, set easily by the gardener, apparently it negates the need for run off. I`m on a drain to waste set-up at the mo and I cant bring myself to pour that much expensive sh*t away. If the Bumats work well and my grow is well dialed in, I may try the canna boost, but for now, at £1,89 for a big jar of Blackstrap Molasses, it must be about one of the most useful and cheap additives we can feed our plants, not only giving carbs, but also important sugars that benefit the micro herds and roots themselves.

Thanks for sharing all the info in this thread. :D

Toke;)

Cool man I'm glad it's helped someone.

Canna's boost can be applied as a foliar spray, I'd personally be comfortable spraying upto week 4-5 on a 9 week strain. Anything past week 5 maybe asking for trouble. Point being, that if used in that way it's relatively cheap to use. I mean how many liters do u really need to fully foliar feed a few plants?

BTW, Canna's boost has a lot more than just molasses in it, plenty goodies but as u say bloody expensive. Have a butchers @ this thread mate, it's coming along nicely and u seem to like to know about nutes n additives, and saving a few bob like me, lol :D
I'm sure you'll enjoy the read -

Hey Shhh great grow. How's the quality on that cheese? I got some cheese from BB coming, so all my research is going there. Is this the clone you got here? I hope mine turns out half as good as yours. From what I read it's hit or miss with these beans.
