4X8 Mars Hydro TSW-3000 5 gallon fabric pots

Day 13

Some of the ladies looked a little droopy today. Watered them first thing as the lights came on to give them something to drink and sip on during daylight hours. Gonna keep up with watering them everyday in the mornings with my 2 gallon sprayer and see if that helps them stop drooping and the yellowing of the lower leaves. I would rather underwater than over water, but finding the fine line always seems to be the toughest for me in these early stages of root development. I am curious to see the quality of the blueberry since it seems to be the least healthy strain out of the bunch in the sense that it had yellowing leaves showing towards the bottom. Which is probably my fault or most certainly.

Day 14

Pleasantly surprised this morning when I checked on the plants to see them responding positively to watering them with the sprayer yesterday morning. Going to veg these for another 2 weeks at least roughly 1 month, and then flip to harvest to avoid having to re-pot them to 7 gallon pots if I decided to veg these out longer.

Just wanted to show a before and after without scrolling up and down between transplant Day vs Day 14. Nice to see the before and after, it really is night and day difference.

Christmas came early. I was watching a Cali Green video on YouTube this week when I heard him say that he had a discount coupon code with Mars Hydro since they were a sponsor for him. The discount worked on top of the 4/20 sale going on, so I ended up saving $75+ off the cost of another TSW-3000. I ordered it on a Wednesday and it was at my doorstep today. Shout out to Mars Hydro for incredibly fast shipping! The last one I ordered came from California and took over a week, so this was a different shipping experience this time around. Its nice to have symmetry in the tent with matching lights. On to the photos!

Have them both daisy chained together right under 50% draw at around 402 watts with two small fans running

Day 16

I didn't water the plants yesterday as the tops of the pots seemed wet still. Today they looked more dry so I gave them all some water mixed with 2ml of liquid seaweed from blue planet nutrients. I raised the wattage on the lights by 300 watts up to around 700 for the next 2 weeks before flower. I am aiming for a short time in veg which lands the end of flower at the latest July 4th weekend.

These are some photos of my last grow with the Mars-Hydro setup. That was with no amending soil before just a bag of groundswell and just top feeding with worm castings and flower rose mix 4-8-4 at the beginning of harvest and 4 weeks into it. Came out really good for my first go at it with the indoor setup. I am excited to see the end result with this round.

Super Sour Skunk (One plant came out fluffy the other 2 had nice solid and large nugs)

Day 21

Need to do some defoliating some are bushing out. Noticed they looked a little thirsty today. One or two plants were showing signs of over watering. I filled up the plastic saucers with 300-500ml of water to allow that soil on the bottom to soak and get some hydration as well as about the same from the top along with pre-moistening the top soil with the sprayer.

Do they have enaugh cal mag in their diet? Lower leaves start to show they might need more.

It seems 4 out of 13 are showing the yellowing on the bottom leaves. The others seem fine and the mix is the same. I will be top feeding soon with worm castings and 4-8-4 and mycorrhizae. I might do a round a cal mag before hand and see how they respond.

are you taking pics at light on? my plants sometimes droop like that at first light.

Yeah that was shortly after the lights came on in the morning. The pots were all a bit dry and they are usually not that droopy first thing, its nice having them in the saucers so I can easily move them and get an idea for how dry they are.

This photo is about 6 hours after being watered and you can really see the life brought back from the watering.

Day 22

The pots were noticeably dry and light to move around so it seems that the plants are thirsty since yesterdays watering. This morning a few were showing signs of needing water and by this afternoon they are all happy again. Going to be using pipe cleaners by next week or this weekend to hold back the two new leading stems to allow the lowers to catch up.

Today I started to notice the browning of lower leaves on 2 plants. I see what you were talking about. I realized that half my mix didn't get worm castings when I made it since I ran out. They are showing calcium magnesium deficiencies for sure thank you for saying it before. I have some blue planet cal mag showing up today to help with that, and I will be top feeding these guys next weekend with worm castings, 4-8-4, and mycorrhizae. Usually I add Azomite and bone meal to my mix which has plenty of the calcium between those two. In retrospect I would have added those at the beginning but I was out of time and to impatient to wait for it to come in.

Why 4-8-4? Theyre still in veg so shouldnt they get more nitrogen than phosphorus?
I'd rather give something like 3-2-3.

And the calcium and Magnesium I'd try to adjust to a total of 80mg/L (ca) and 27mg/L (mg) including what's in your tapwater already. At this stage at least.. later more

..just to be sure...how strong is that light of yours?

If you tumble your mix in a mixer before using, you will have a better mixed media. For greenhouse soil mixes, I used a concrete mixer and tumbled all substrates to incorporate the finer ingredients. 😎.

Day 24

The past two days I have been defoliating in preparation for the upcoming flip in a few weeks. Topped some more plants and I am just getting my list together for top feeding.
