Flowers shot to the size of grapes in 2 weeks.. the last wekk nothing has changed.. but losing all big fan leaves. they are turning yellow.. curling and falling off. flowers have not gotten any bigger just leaves falling off. temps are at 81.4 lights on and 79.2 lights out. Humidity is a steady 27%. using GH flora grow for veg and GH flora BLoom for flower. water evry 2 days or so if soil is dry 2 inches down in pot. any input??? things going as they should?? hope i have nothing to worry about... thanks for checking out my question

so you think i should feed straight water for a week?? or 2 ?? or go get GH flora Micro??? yeah they started out kicking ass then just stopped growning.

yeah you don't want the yellowing to happen this early
could be a few things. could be lockout yeah i guess so. also possible they are starving of a certain nutrient.
if you stopped giving flora grow upon entering into flowering you're sure to have a nitrogen problem if there are no other n sources in your substrate.
if you have hard water it could be calcium competing with magnesium. could be a combination of all these
thats why you should give more info tho like ph, ppm or feeding concentrations, and initial water quality. pictures help too :)

Ziggaro is right, you need a complete NPK regimen for the full grow. You also need a way to check the pH of your feed water as well as runoff pH on occasion.

GH FloraNova is a complete, one-part fert. You use Grow in veg and Bloom in flower.

GH Flora is a three-part fert where all three are used in different ratios for the full grow.
Example:
Veg cycle: 3-2-1 (3 tsp Grow, 2 tsp Micro, 1 tsp Bloom)
Flower cyc: 1-2-3

ok picked up some GH flora micro mixed it and fed my girls..how long do you think it will take to react? the big girl is see grew another 1 1/2 inches in the last day or so.. would that mean no lock out then??

The Micro also has most of the Nitrogen, so you're getting an N deficiency. That's probably why you kicked into flower so fast too. Give them the veg formula once, then use 1prt-1-part-1part formula for a week. Usually, your plants go into flower with a nice stockpile of N to last them through flower. Yours don't so you want to give 'em a nice dose to get 'em going and through the next 4-6 weeks without getting a deficiency again too early.

Yes...operator error.

Just teasing :nanana:

Maybe it has to do with number of posts.

Hang in there :joint:

sorry to butt in. im having the same problem he has. im at 3 weeks into flowering and have had this prob. for about 10 days now. im in a hydro setup(bubbler) I have ph of 6.1 now, I changed it from 5.6, where it was up till a few days ago. my ec is at 1.9, or ppm at 947, im using the lucas formula with gh flora 3 part nutes. what should I do, if anything? im concerned because I've lost almost 1/2 my big fan leaves now. nugs haven't grown in a few days either. should I just be patient and see what comes of the new changes, or do something else to help my girls along. thanks in advance

Hey Mnsmokin,
I would say this has a lot to do with your low humidity! If you raise it to 40 and maintain there and you shouldnt see anymore leafs falling off if your feeding is fine!

I did start my own thread. I thought that people in hear were cool, so I didn't figure it would be a big deal. besides I did say in my post that I was sorry for hijackin, so get over it. if you don't have something nice to say, then don't say anything. I jus needed I lil help, and this thread is exactly what I am having a problem with, so I thought that maybe someone would be willing ttrto help. well I guess not, have fun in YOUR thread.

try the nutrient lock theory. your humidity is a little low,I wouldn't worry bout that though try organic fert., its much more forgiving. every few waterings use just plain water it will prevent this problem in the future.

Thank you all for your input. still trying to figure out my baby.. the shot of veg juice didnt seem to do much.. all fan leaves are drooping and dying now..will try to raise humidity and see what that does.. and switched to all organic soil for the up and comers..lol

Ok, first you should give the nutes a couple days to work, since soil buffers the absorption of them. You already have had a jump in growth, which is a sign that they have started to work. Also, some of your fan leave won't make it especially if they have already started to yellow, it is normal for that to happen. Another thing to try is to water with plain water every other time(some nutes stay in soil longer than others do and will get picked up with the plain water). If things aren't going well in a couple more days here is how to flush your soil>>>
First step, flush your soil good(not down the toilet, but pour water through it until it comes out clear, normally 2 to 3 times the volume of water compared to your container). Once the water is mostly drained, give your plants a low dose of nutrients(roughly half of normal dose). After that, it is just a waiting game(the soil needs to dry up before you water them again.

lockout just means you have some salt buildup in the soil and you would flush them out by running nothing but water through your medium, usually about 3 times the medium (3 gal through a 1 gal pot). if the problem gets worse then it wasnt lockout but a nutrient deficiency caused by lack of nutes in the soil, not the inability for the plant to uptake what is there. usually if i see a problem i flush first then watch, if it improves then all is well, if it worsens then i treat the symptom as it is a lack of the specific nutrient.
