That price seems reasonable. Keep us posted. I noticed a competitive thread has already been created. Lol
Agreed, I didn't get the spacing I was hoping for. Been busy and attention to the grow got placed way back. But! All clear sailing from here so hopefully can make up some lost ground with some tlc...and a new light lol.No reason to go any closer. The plants are really short penetration shouldn't be an issue.
Hi !they are from 35 to 40 days in and have had issues I have gotten straightened out...I hope View attachment 18802941
4x4Hi !
which size is your box ? 4x4 or more ?
Better hurry..they raised the price a bit already lolI'll pick one up for a backup in case the BESTVA fails.
Cool! Be nice to get a second opinion.Ya I ordered it 3 days ago. I got the version with the remote, It will be here Tomorrow
So far it seems to be doing great. I have absolutely no complaints. Plants are loving it, runs cool, and bright. I couldn't replace it for twice or even 3 times what I paid. I'll be curious to hear what Hammerheads impressions are.Best of Luck to you, Sometimes you get lucky, other times, the heatsink and components are of poor quality.
How does it feel, built well and robust?
Time for a little Devil's Advocate perhaps? I'm not trying to pick a fight, I'm just thinking out loud here btw.....This came with it... View attachment 18802837

That CIE 1931 basically tells you it ain't Samsung. I'm no expert in reading these kind of diagrams but I've never seen a MacAdams elipse that looks like that and that is positioned on the graph where it is. That amount of red isn't going to throw the CRI of a Samsung LED off that much. Not a big fan of that spectrum either, too much green and not enough red for flowering and no F/R. Probably makes a OK veg light. That hostspot in the middle doesn't really help, not a good spread for a bar light rig. But I guess you can't have everything for that price?
But yeah, that's not a Samsung based light IMO. I mean why would you advertise you're using their diodes buried in some picture, like they do on Amazon? Probably trying to stay off some bots/spider's radar if you ask me. Companies either broadcast what diodes they're using, (Hi MarsHydro!), or try to hide their LEDs like it's a state secret, (Hi Iluminar!).
@driver77 Anyway can you do me and everyone who's interested in this light another favor and take a few close-up pictures of the diodes during lights out? Most international and US companies have very distinct LED designs. Chinese ones usually stick to one standard. As far as I can tell from the pictures on Amazon they don't even look like Samsung diodes but their photos aren't that good.

Honestly peoples, if a company is lying about what diodes they're using, do they deserve your business?
TANSTAAFL!
Looks like different drivers than mine came with. Mine came inside a different box too.I think we all know this is a cheap LED and we will expect the performance to be cheap lol. If it performs as it should that's all that matters. If it performs as well as Gavita that's a bonus lol. Why not wait and see how it performs before tossing mud lol..
Anyway, I got the light today The light dimming knob works, the power switch works, max wattage is 850. I can't test the rjports. I was able to get the Remote pared. The remote will turn on/off the LED, it has an internal timer for 12/12, 14/10, 16/8.. The ALL button doesn't do anything prob for multiple lights.
The Timmer and +- buttons change the set times so an example would be
16/8 will change an hr up or down so 17/7 or 15/9..
My light has a different spectrum. With a 3-year warranty, I'm OK with the price.. For a cheap LED, it's a solid construction. It came with 2 types of hanging hardware. The box was not stealth..It shows whats in the box.

Hammerhead's light is definitely not Samsung 3030 diodes. You can tell by the shape, design and the fact that when you zoom in you can see two arrays making up the LED. Samsung's production techniques and facilites use one array like this, (this is off of Samsung's website).I appreciate your observations and look forward to seeing how this works out.
I have problems with passing off a grade D chipsets as a grade A.
I have fewer qualms about getting a B grade chipset that one could use as a veg light run
at three quarters of it's rated power. It will be neat to see if the product works out better than the parking lot lights many are using.
