me drops some snowcap romulan genes into the pool for maximum stealth

Damn Good idea..do you have any photos?
I haven't seen a snowcap romulan..I will google it.
Love mutations

I've seen someone using a ducksfoot..but I haven't seen any photos.

I'd love to get a hold of some just to see How it moves through the generations.
I find that kinda thing..fascinating.

esbe..I think..had an unusual looking mighty mite last season..
and I can remember watching for the very same thing..
it didn't look like canna...at all..
very beneficial trait in my eyes.

oh..BTW..I super-cropped some skems this season.
I was gonna throw them but they went to experiments instead..
and they reacted very well.
When they are super-cropped you can lay them down so low..you can fit them in amongst almost anything.

M

mossy

I had them in as back up..but when I didn't need them..I didn't even transplant.
7 or 8 fems in an 8 inch pot was not good
so I super-cropped and was impressed by how they reacted.

I left them a bit late..so some did and some didn't..
but the ones that did fattened considerably.

and as for height..you could finish them in a line of even the lowest crop
if you look at the rim of the pot as soil level..
they are limbo dancers.

I will try it on a Good girl when I get a chance..see what it does for yield on test conditions.

Mossy, I edited my last post and have a photo there now.
ps: I believe this was on the icmag front page for a while before the Destroyer ? Ive definitely seen this photo a lot of times.

As for LST I believe this is one of the best ways to do it:

Kinda useful for those tall sativa dominants.

Cheers cyber echo..
she is a little beaut.
That tric formation always say high THC to me.
What did she taste like..?

cheers for the diagram too.
I have an even easier way..no pegs no pinning.
I will show you the results on a large girl when I get into the back catalogue...

Here is a standardised whore from last season..

Dang,
That looks good. I also LST in a much simpler way, as u said, easy solutions are the best.
K.I.S.S. I guess is the way to go. (Keep it simple stupid :p)

I just love how LST'd plants develop 8+ colas. Way better than 1 main cola and side buds.
Guess i'll do that with my next grow which i'll document in this subforum. Waiting on the seeds (JD's LR#2xAK47), should arrive within a day or two.

ps: The snowcap picture I linked is the official breeders pic. I haven't had the pleasure of growing it myself. There's so many appealing strains to get but with my limited space I'm sticking to AFs for now. Im prolly moving to the netherlands in a few months. It will be a very different story then :p
That specific pheno in the pic doesnt have cannabis leaves. Thats priceless imho, other than the fact that the plant seems pretty potent aswell (fur coat).
But like I said, I think getting that mutation is so rare you'd prolly be wanting a clone instead of seeds to isolate it.
Not a very easy thing to get.

M

mossy

Aw man..I love it!!!!
It just sums up my whole grow philosophy.
I think I may change my name to K.I.S.S.

K.I.S.S. I guess is the way to go. (Keep it simple stupid :p)

IMO..
as a novice grower..I should be able to select a genetic..
give it good soil..good light..water and (natural) oxygen and recieve a good standard yield with nothing more.

The time and money I have left should be for Pampering.

By pampering..
I mean care..ferts and tools/processes which will enhance the expected standard yield.
and I want a Calcuable increase in yield for the extras I put in.

K.I.S.S. is the way to go..IMO

, great pictures! Kinda makes me drool, need a tissue.

You mentioned Wally's Ducksfoot... i've been thinking about that to but as far as i have heard those genes are terrible hard to work with... but it might be a challenge.

You do red, i do black, first to finishline get's the honour? ;)
Haha, nah just joking.

M

mossy

Cheers guys appreciated...
i think those were the rules of that specific thread
Ah..might be..cheers for that..I didn't want to upset him...
so Thanks for the edit.

You do red, i do black, first to finishline get's the honour? ;)
no..you Finish her in black..and I get the Honour of putting the Red bud on.

I THINK I should have a strong Red isolated out on her own by next season..
in AF of course but I think that JEM red/black line could have a lot of match points to your girl.
AF hunt in reverse.
(I have some thought on that point but I will explain when I have more time)

Haha, nah just joking
Do you know m8..I was brought up in a competitive growing culture.
I don't know if you have ever heard about the NE UK LEEK/veg/flower growing shows but they are legendary..
with thousands of pounds being paid in prize money.
At the end of the season you all swap genetics..
and then try to Outgrow your m8's with their Own genetics.

It was fantastic...and I miss it..so the race is on...:dueling:

lowrdr...I think you may live to regret giving me that K.I.S.S. :yoinks:
because I have found a use for it already..

You are on an AF roll with the pot above..the non-af's are superflous to the grow..
how do you get them out with the minimum of damage to the AF's...?

K.I.S.S. IT...

Just like THAT..

I'm so fast you hardly saw my hands move did Ya!!!!!!!!!!!!

don't know about you..but the one on the right looks as if she need investigation.
If youlook at her top bud..down tothe bottom of the white pistills..what do you see..?
Looks like colour to me...

you got the moves mossy
btw,
Have you ever experimented with propagating genetics by using CS (or any other safe herming technique) on a female from one strain and using the resulting feminized pollen on another ?
You know ....
Some girl on girl action ....

Early work on Black Magic :yeahthats (Still green buds at that moment)

Black plant with dark red buds, shall we call it "Satan" or just plain "666"? :woohoo:

DC made ya sneeze huh? Thats interesting..

We had some very hot weather the other day and now we've dipped to fall temperatures, high around 68 f one day... Beginning to warm back up soon.. :)

Beautiful purple flowers, thats how they are more often than not! :)

I liked your little guide to growing... I totally agree with you on propagating directly into soil vs. tissue... Planting to the proper depth and maintaining proper temperature and moisture conditions in an aerated near neutral media without too many ferts = good germination if the seed is good.. 40 years... thats a long time... I'd imagine you've learned quite a lot over the years!

That would be logical..but you are talking to me..
I could still be a crap grower...

But you know what I mean..you handle different plants for a long time you develop a soft hand..so I know I handle them well..
and I can see a stop on tissue to soil transplant..
so how hard is that for a novice grower.

I started germing to tissue because I read it in the threads...
then I suddenly realised and thought....
what the hell am I doing That for. :noway:
Germ to soil.

Cheers for the John Deere...nearest brother and step dad were agricultural engineers..brings back memories.
Diesel oil..squashed grass..and mud..I can smell it now..
I think I can see a traction engine in the back-ground..
your Shows look like UK Shows.
Nothing much changes the world over eh!

Your photos are getting beter and better..same as your girls..:woohoo:
What kinda camera did you settle on?

that girl with the foliar disease looks like she wouldn't make it.
Nice save m8.
Love the last photo..looking like nice wall-paper

SmokeyTheBear
no she is a long season girl..trained because I have a 40 inch height restriction.
Didn't want her waving at the neighbours..

That is why AF's are my girls of choice.
But there isn't a peg or a tie been used..hands only..
and I harvested almost 180g's Dry off her.
All primo bud too..none of the fine poop you normally get on long seasons.

When I have a spare AF sitting around..I will try the same treatment and see how AF's respond.
She IS the mom of the Whore AF's I got this year.
First time I have had the cross out in AF.
I'll show you them when I get a chance
