I went down a rabbit hole when I found this thread. It seems like in general the stainless steel bowl method was known and utilized in Cali before this post was made. I think the OP discovered the method from an older head and will forever be credited with putting this idea out to the masses on the web.
Phil Salazar popularized the current rosin tech in Jan 2015. You can totally see that on this thread as a lot of guys started coming in with the press tech around Feb-June 2015.
