Pretty cool! Did u make sure that there was no extract in the 9.8g gained in the sieve?
Also was wondering the same thing as regis stated on the first page, would thinner be better?
It works great, but slows recovery a bit. Also, it takes the water out
at a rate of about 10ml per run I would guess. Kinda hard to know how
much was in there in the first place. I've only been using it when
I plan to make shatter.
I run it on the line between the recovery pot and the Appion. (Suction side)
If we're making wax, it doesn't matter if there is a little water in the resin as
we suck it out when we purge. Not so with shatter. A tiny bit of water
in your oleoresin will make you shatter cloudy and start to wax.
Well, after 3 runs, the molecular sieve gained 9.8g.
Not as much as I had hoped, but it's 10g of H20 not in our concentrates.
Going to bake it at 460F for 2 hours and try again tomorrow...
My collection vessel is 10"w x 12"h
I think the water is from the trim. Even though we try to get it
as dry as possible, it still retains various amounts of H2O...
