Anyone else experience this with their blumats?
This is right below where the blumat drips, you can see a drop about to fall at the upper right. There are a couple slightly different angles in my gallery.

I hope I do. I've seen this in my handwatered coco before. Isn't it exciting to see roots right up top like that? Blumats are amazing.

Yep! No need to be alarmed. Peat has some really cool pictures of that happening too.

My plants in Coco have a Mound of Roots that stick up a couple inches! Pretty sweet! You will love your Blumats, they kick ass compared to handwatering! Good luck.
Has anyone ordered directly from the site. I figure 1 of the 50 packs should be enough to do 42 5 gallon pots. What other accessories would you order?

I would look into the new, extra large maxi blu-mats.

I don't understand what you mean when you say don't use the brown slave drippers? They have clogged on me. Is that the little drippers you can add onto the end of the tube sticking out of the carrot?
Also If I have 1/2" tubing coming out of my resi how do I connect the tubing? You use their stuff...or be creative.
Does the tubing go. Resi 1/2" ->8mm -> 3mm >emitter.
Do I just punch a hole into the 1/2" as I get to each pot, then run a 4 ft section of the 3mm sunny suggested(if so how?),or is there an adapter that comes with it(somebody mentioned one)? Also it seems like the pots are in series.
So I'm trying to run two sets of shelves in a rectangle with 21 plants on each level. 150 Gallon rubber maid resi with a barb fitting that is 1/2". The room is 11 x 8. Does the 8mm hose run around the room and the 3mm runs off that to each pot.
I'm sorry if I should understand this better. I just want to make sure that when I order all the parts I get everything I need. Thanks again
I'm definitely about to do the preamended soil mix with these in a 4kw ac'd room that I'm trying to set up with 8" cool tubes. Can't wait. It's all thanks to you guys. I'll be making a thread soon.
I'm just trying to figure out how the tubing goes together and how much of each I will need.
Sunny dog said 4ft of the 3mm tubing per plant, i'm guessing that runs off the main water line, which is 8mm apparently. If my 150 gallon rubbermaid resi has 1/2 barbed fitting, do I just have to get some kind of reducer?

I'm ready for the switch...my local shop has Rambridge distribution, yet all they had was a box of 50 blumat units for about 7 bucks a unit MEHHHH. I am looking in specific for the patio set since I believe it come with all the tubing and fittings required.
You guys who got these gems on closeout are so lucky...getting these individually when I am going to run 6 or 8 looks like a ripoff. Anyone know a good site to order the Tropf Patio Set from these days besides direct from Austria? thanks in advance...

the 3mm drip tubing is the hardest part to get ahold of (locally)
if i could get more drip line, i would have a ton more drippers
Like I said, it must be ordered, I think it is a 30 meter roll.Think it costs about $35.
I ALWAYS BUY TWO!!
I do not understand why this is not more widely promoted, as I find the miserable little stock piece almost unusable.

I'm just lookin' for the best place to score the 12dripper Patio Set since my local shop just wants to rip me on single units without hose/connector etc...they don't really sell any at all there it seems haha

Blumat Maxis. They're longer, so the pot has to dry out a bit more before dripping commences again.
