So this is my first attempt with organic soil and growing. I have 3 strains started from seed that I've never run before. Doing Rare Dankness Ghost Train Haze #1 and Star Killer as well as Cali Connection Girl Scout Cookies. Since I'm new to this I started with premixed and cooked soils and teas from TLO Soils. I also have some re-vegged Sour Sage clones that I ran in coco using Lucas Formula before that are loving the live soil.
They all started out in TLO Mellow Mix, which is basically 1 part organic soil mix, 1 part coco coir and 1 part perlite. They were only fed RO water. The 2 Rare Dankness strains and the Girl Scout Cookies all germinated from seed in this, and the Sour Sage clones started in this as well. 90% germination on the seeds, so pretty happy about that. They all got a little wilted after reaching about 3" tall, so I gave them some TLO tea made for seedlings and clones and they perked right up (see pics below).
The Sour Sage clones grew really fast and I transplanted them into 1 gal. containers with The Rev's Master Mix 2.1 with a little high N layering blend and they really took off. The pic below shows them at 3 weeks in Master Mix. Noticed some fungus gnats a few days ago, so I let the soil dry a bit, then added yellow sticky traps and a food grade diatomaceous earth top layer and they seem to be disappearing.
So far so good with the TLO soils and their guy D has been super helpful. Stay tuned, will update throughout the grow. Here's a link to TLO if anyone's interested: http://www.truelivingorganic.com/
