What's new

Oregon or Washington-Which has the better MMJ Laws?

washington for sure....myself, my wife and my son all have cards

we are a legal co-op growing 45 plants in our house all in one spot ....we can have 78 ounces of product legally too

we can "donate" our overages to any mmj store

Patients can band together in washington legally forming co-ops min. of 3 people... max of 10 people.... max of 45 plants

we are averaging 15 pounds a crop :)

I really like the idea of recognizing and allowing co-op farming to take place.

In southern Oregon this summer the feds raided over 5 outdoor gardens near Ashland that were co-op style arrangements with over 400 plants grouped together. I think the aerial photographs were what convinced the feds to raid these gardens. They ended up taking all of the medicine but no arrests were made.

I wish co-op arrangements in Oregon worked better, but hopefully Washington can submit a good model to try and follow.

I'm in Oregon and I will say that as a new patient, this state is the worst for MMJ. My garden is up and running now, but our main dispensary's door got bashed in, then when the police were called, they ransacked the place! The only other options are the 'clinic' where you can go and get harassed and badgered non-stop for money while you are given 'free' weed (never enough to take home) or maybe another greedy grower who wants to charge street price+.

I guess I get to go dry for 6 months until my garden is back up and producing because literally every single smoker I know around here is a criminal and a hustler. Fuck.

I live in OR as well, and the amount of amazing genetics is insane. ALso i'm allowed to have 18 plants per scrip, I have 3 cards right now, and getting a fourth. Per scrip i'm allowed to have 1.5lb's of dried cannapis. SO I'm allowed 6lbs in my house at any given time.

YES it is very very very hard to get rid of any herb in OR. Mainly like prop215 said above, everybody and there grandmother is growing it. I live in Eugene, were this happens to be true. This is a relatively small town with thousands of growers, most of them have no damn idea what they are doing and are flooding the market with mediocre "dank" as they call it.

All in all I really enjoy the laws in OR and never here of anyone with common sense getting busted. The scenery is beautiful, and you can get away with some amazingly superb outdoor crops as well. Anyone interested in seeing an OR medical crop click this link. ;) it's how it's done wayyyyy up in the mountains. Much love all! SL :shooty:

That is the reason I went east when Montana went nuts. The price is some much better and the place is like a vacuum for good bud, hell I have had places willing to buy it wet because they don't want anyone else getting it haha:) But that sketchy me out and I don't like people knowing my timing or walking around with wet weed to increase risk. Plus I can have up to 72 plants any stage. But both OR AND WA have better possession amount laws that makes it easier to crop out more more often and still be under or closer to the limit. And WA is nice because you don't have to register with state, Man I miss the mountains out west but the price of wholesale bud does suck and the market tighter for someone that might not be quite up on his game.

Oregon has no money for police to go after anyone growing or smoking marijuana, so IMO this is the safest place in the US to grow. This is also why ounces are $150 and my whole fething city smells like fresh flowers when the sun goes down.

Washington has dispensaries, Oregon doesn't. I live in Oregon but lived in Seattle for 1.5 years. My observations:
- Seattle can't handle bad weather - the entire city gets paralyzed if Ice or water is on a road.
- World's Worst Driver's reside in Washington State.
- If a Seattle cop SMELLS Burnt Weed, you automatically get a DUI.
- Seattle city government is right out of the Third Reich
Oregon...
- not a lot of jobs
- high state tax
- NO SALES TAX
- Unlawful to pump your own gas
- more loggers than yuppies

UM, have you driven around Portland? There are literally new clubs that act as dispensaries opening every week. There are 2 mere blocks from my house in SE Portland, shallow SE, all below 39th

If this isn't the most factual thing that I've ever seen on this site, it's damn close. I live in NorCal on a highway that is heavily frequented by Washington drivers, and they are famous for their inability to drive. 85 mph in a blizzard? No problem. 25 mph with dry pavement and sunshine, wandering all over the road? Yep. Passing on a blind corner? No sweat.

I've always wondered how there can possibly be so many of them that actually make it here to visit - it seems like they would thin themselves out with a vengeance.

Dam Stagger I didnt know they where testing there, Im going to have to take my SDv3 and my SDxCD over there and see what they are at when I cut later this month. Been thinking about checking them out for a bit now but just havent got over on that side of town to do it, guess that gives me a great reason.

Not sure about Oregon's dispensary situation but Westfalia hit it right on the head about everything else - as far as the westside. But in eastern WA it's a completely different place, the cheapest power in the country - and a great place if you like to just live your life, smoke your herb and be a normal decent person, but very little dispensary's and best if you are looking to grow your own indoors. Tons of recreation - but not like Seattle - very little rain, hot sunny days - but lots of lakes and rivers.

Also the cops will bust you if you like to toke out in front in public or if you drive around toking but I have no beef with them and they leave you alone where I am if you aren't a menace.

I'm saying that is what the average person on the street pays

Portland has what is considered the cheapest high grade indoor in the nation.

I just recently got some beans that were only released in OR from Dynasty seeds... the Blue Magoo BxI. Should be some dank! Much love, and keep OR green. SL
