Hey Pontiac, those plants just exploded. I'm really interested in the Ice, a buddy of mine grew it a few years back and said it knocked him on his ass.

BR- Thanks man. Yea they sure did explode man, i couldnt believe it my self. The AK's from my last grow grew pretty fast but this is just phenominal. I topped them again to prep them for flowering; i cant wait. Yea it looks like everyone else is hyped about the ice too, and so am i. I hope its gives me a nice couch-locked-tingly-indy high. Well happy Sunday everyone, finally a day without work. I can chill and post again, and take a look at your thread and it seems to be going well, I've just started flowering. I think i might do a grow diary next grow.
I did the same thing with the switching from 18/6 to 16/8 before 12/12, don't want to stress them.

I remember when I started growing and first read Greg Greens Cannabis Grow Bible I was always interested in the fact the hydro grows grow much faster and usually yielded higher.
Though taste and potency always seemed to be favoured in soil grows :chin:

I've always had an unscratched itch to build a bubbler, but DWC looks a little less complicated.
I do have some slight experience in ebb + flow with rockwool :yes:

I'm sure your link'o'rama and a few PM's to you should learn me everything to know when I'm ready to give'er :smile:

Lookin forward to some pre-flower pics...always nice to see the plant change over the first week of 12/12 :lurk:

TML16, if your considering a hydro run, DWC is great. its really easy and doesnt require excessive maintenance. plus the plants grow like weeds in there

TML- Its funny that youre considering hydro cus of my grow and i'm considering organic soil cus of your grow. :chin:

Anyway, its great that youre considering hydro; theres really nothing to it. All you really need is a pH and TDS meter (and a hydro system ofcourse) and youre all set. Just remember to keep the pH between 5.1 and 6 and keep the TDS at a level suitable for your plants current phase. However, a small mistake like overfeeding or an uncalibrated meter can lead to disaster. :yoinks:

Anyway, my plants are really taking over the cab man. I think its time to go to flowering any day now. Wish me luck!

At the moment I'm test growing a blue mystic a Dutch dragon and a purple star just to see how the grow area works. If all goes well i should be starting 2 Hindu Kush babies! My grow area is just a glass shelf and a 125 watt eco-light, keeping it simple, but so far they all look really healthy; bright green stretching and sagging as they are reaching for the light got them in 2 litre pots and that's about the limit i can have because of space in general. There's probably a better grow medium than just plain old growing compost, for small pots but I'm still testing around see what happens. I'll probably not need LST on the Kush but if i do I'll give it a shot.
The one on the left is the blue mystic and on the right is the purple star behind that is the litle dutch dragon before transplant, they all showing preflowers so I've started flowering, I'm going with JLP here with the Vegging time. :joint:

Thanks for the positive vibes pontiac, ya that widow turned out killer (except I cant smoke it without takeing a nap lol) Ill have to show you some other pics from my harvest I just cant yeild well I had 3 plants in 7gallon pots under 400w hps and I only got around 3 1/2 z's. Anyways when are you going to be able to start using your real grow space again, Also have you checked out the new paradise seeds feminised varietys i picked up a five pack of the Ice Cream wonder if it will be any good?

3.5 is still pretty awesome, should last you for a while.

Which White Widow are you thinking about getting? Ive got a mother for White Label Seeds White Widow(Sativa pheno im pretty sure) and Ive got a mother for Madala Seeds Satori(Indica pheno is my guess) both of which are excellent smokes in my opinion although the widow really lacks taste, and I defenitly plan on keeping mothers from my current grow Skunk #1 Swazi Skunk and some bagseed i got from a bag that peaked my intrest, then I hope to get some good mothers from my next grow which will be the Ice Cream and NYCDxMindboggle. Did you keep a AK48 mother? are u planning on keeping mothers from ur current grow? I am extremely intrested in trying AK48 and ICE ive heard almost nothing but good about both.
What upgrades are you planning on doing to your Room? I just recently built a new flowering room in mine which is really nice because I went from a 3x4x4 flowering box to my new room which is 5x4x6 or something close to that. Not sure if I will do a Diary or not they always make me paranoid u know? Anyways I should post some pics of my current grow I just flipped them to 12/12 a day ago.

A pine variety sounds pretty interesting, my house could do with a nice pine Hum, i really don't like that skunk smell, it's quite nice sometimes but everyone knows what the hell it is, it's too common!

The Blue Mystic at flowering day 3, 24 days in total, it looks pretty happy in the dirt. I just snapped its neck to slow the vertical stretch and bush her out a bit, i think thats pretty safe considering its only day 3 of flower. Doesn't look like i will have a spider mite problem just yet, the conditions are pretty dry but i like to spray it with tepid water as much as i can:

Well anyway i already have a pack of WW from nirvana. I know that sucks but i was on a tight budget when i bought 'em. My ak48 mothers died because of my own jackass neglegance; so did my clones. I regret it every time i toke on ak. :badday:

The effect of my ak was very scary, paranoid and confusing, which is not my favorite type of high, but i still love it. I'm sure you'll love ak48 regardless of what high youre into; the same goes for ice.
I'm not sure if i wanna keep mothers from my current ice/chrystal just yet, but i will definatley do a reveg grow.

Theres nothing to be paranoid about when doing a diary, just make sure you cover your tracks well. If youre really paranod then you should: Use a high anonimity proxy server, use good anti-virus/anti-spyware/anti-adware/firewall software, put your files in a encrypted folder and use a history cleaning software like evidance eliminator or Asmw-Eraser (free)

Hey everybody! :wave:

Well, Today is the last day of VEG and tommorow will be the begginning of Bloom phase. Today, i'll chage the timer for 12/12 and turne on the dayton and HPS. Tommorow, i'll change the res with bloom nutes and train the plants even harder in order to reduce streching.

I made a huge mistake by not doing this grow earlier. Summer is around the corner and temps may get way too high in the cab. I'm also having second thoughts about doing a "seed to weed" grow. What if only the runt plants are females and the vigorous plants are males? I'll be super pissed!

Lemmie ask you a question how easy is DWC because I was thinking about building one just to mess around with i dont have a ppm meter or a ec meter just a GH PH control kit with a liquid ph test but I was reading a thread and the GroDoc says he swears by it, anyways do you think I would be able to successfully pull off a 1 or 2 plant DWC with just what I have(My tapwater is very close to 6.5ph also)? Glad you liked my budshots I should take some pics of the buds now that they have been cureing for awhile, anyways everythings looking great man now flip the switch!

Well you can definatley pull it off, i've seen alot of DWC grows without tds meters and with only pH indication. You just have to follow a feeding chart and youre good to go. I recommend using Genhydro flora or maxi series cus theyre very easy to use and easy to follow the chart with.

I too swear by the GH ph test kit; i've been using it without any problems untill i got my pH meter. I still use it when my pH meter needs calibration or when i wanna "double check" the pH. Its also your best friend when your pH meter is broken or out of batts.

Hmm pH 6.5? You might need some "pH down" (and keep the level between 5.5 & 6). I heard lemon juice is ok to use. I'm not sure what you can use for "pH up" tho.

TBF- I tried placing the fan to aim at the bulb before, but i just couldnt do it. Theres just no space, but I was lucky and was able to aim it at the plants though. however, I'm thinking about placing some small pc fans and aiming it at the bulb. Do you think that'll work?
